Can I play multiplayer? With people?

It would be strange to play multiplayer WITHOUT people but yes. There's several hundred people who participate in organised weekend events called shield battles.

Visit our (new, more coming on that soon) forum to see the clan list and pick your fancy.

By nomadic tribes, I presume you mean something like the Huns?

During the height of the Empire, the Romans had little contact with what would be considered nomadic horse clans, hell it would be another 100 odd years after the mod time ends that the Romans would even notice that neighboring tribes were being dislocated by other tribes, who in turn were fleeing from groups like the Huns.

The majority of enemies the Empire faced at its height were either established Tribal groupings, the Dacians or the Parthians.

Update for those of you that stalk ModDB comments. We're nearly done with 2.5.5, a general patch that fixes some issues inherent in the Germania update from a few weeks ago. Furthermore, we've got over 100 new banners made by Apollo that'll replace the old banners we had, new content that'll replace some 2014 content we still had and about 4 new classes to add some variety.

That's not all obviously, change log will come out with the version, but we're expecting a release this week coming.

You should add the Etruscans or the Praetorian Guard, it's just a suggestion, the modification is excellent, especially now that there are Germanic Tribes.

The Etruscans had been dead for a solid 400 years by this point, and the Praetorian Guard were a complete political entity through out most of their history, and only wore standard legionary equipment.
