March of Rome is a multiplayer modification for 'Mount and Blade: Warband' set in the Imperial Roman Era under Emperor Trajan. The mod itself is set between the years 9AD-117AD, and encompasses the Roman Campaigns under Clodius and Trajan in Briton and Dacia.

It would be strange to play multiplayer WITHOUT people but yes. There's several hundred people who participate in organised weekend events called shield battles.

No Nomadic tribes, No fun

By nomadic tribes, I presume you mean something like the Huns?

During the height of the Empire, the Romans had little contact with what would be considered nomadic horse clans, hell it would be another 100 odd years after the mod time ends that the Romans would even notice that neighboring tribes were being dislocated by other tribes, who in turn were fleeing from groups like the Huns.

The majority of enemies the Empire faced at its height were either established Tribal groupings, the Dacians or the Parthians.

Update for those of you that stalk ModDB comments. We're nearly done with 2.5.5, a general patch that fixes some issues inherent in the Germania update from a few weeks ago. Furthermore, we've got over 100 new banners made by Apollo that'll replace the old banners we had, new content that'll replace some 2014 content we still had and about 4 new classes to add some variety.

That's not all obviously, change log will come out with the version, but we're expecting a release this week coming.

Hey Great Work! I hope you will allow me to make a couple of suggestions.

One, can you nerf computer archers, they are like snipers. They routinely headshot you from miles away even with armor on and shield up.

Two, could make the pilum throwing more accurate, I understand it is a crowd weapon but it is impossible to hit anything.

Lastly, would you consider adopting the combat system of mods like Rome At War 2. The way the shield works in conjunction with attacking allows for more converage and is vastly more historical. It looks strange now that when you stab or slash, the shield twists and exposed your entire body.

Again, Great Work and please do not feel insulted, it is a great mod. Thanks

hmm you make some good points, but the pilums are 1 shots I think they are fine as they are, and they aren't intended as a long range weapon.

Nothing can be done about the A.I. archers I think, they either headshot you or they don't. Same as regular Warband's A.I.

Pilums you'd have to convince Vitallion to increase the throwing accuracy.

Third suggestion is tricky to do.
