Hi,

Just downloaded this and tried to play using all instructed settings (and 4GB patch) but the game crashes whenever I activate the MOD. I was not able to fully extract the archive as around half a dozen files would not decompress, I tried doing so manually to no avail...

Any thoughts? I'd really like to give this a go...

Hi Boronshark,

I have been playing without the 4GB patch.
It does happen ... rarely ... but a download can get corrupted.
From what you said about extracting from the archive it appears that your download was corrupted.

The obvious advise is ... try to download it again

I've been playing the Pirate faction, and I love it so much! But every time the ships engage, they always go straight towards whoever they're fighting, then turns away and flies away, never stopping. It's only when I direct them to attack manually that they go back, but even then, they turn away and fly off. Also some of the dialogue and text is misspelled. But other than that, I love this mod, and the replay value it gives. I hope you can fix those problems soon, and hope to see even more content in the future!

Glad you like the Pirates ...

The Pirates movements are what is called "Fighter Attack" ... i.e they move like fighters, which means they circle the enemy. Once in a while the pirate ships can't not turn fast enough and they just keep heading into out-space ... lol, fortunately this does not happen often.

I am not sure what you mean by dialogue ... are your referring to the audio voice-overs? Or are you referring to dialogue and text as one thing i.e string descriptions?

Descriptions mainly, such as the Capital Ships, which read as "Black Class Swan" when the ship is selected. And the ones mainly turning away are capital ships. I thought it was a fluke too, so I reset it and reinstalled. It still kept flying off into the void.

Cheers ... specifics always helps... as there are so many strings to sort through (10,000).

Yes, Capitals have this problem, though I don't see it too often... could be the turning rate needs to be increased. Nonetheless, I will look into it.
