!! You may not use any portion of this mod without asking me first !!
Infinite Space is mainly a visual mod that adds alot to the vanilla game: new planets, background, enhanced effects, new music, etc.. changing the overall feel of the game into something much more intense.
New planet and star types.. and many more textures.
Infinite Space features 6 new planet types which have to be researched to be colonised:
Many more textures have been added for existing planet types, totalling over 70 different planets! Maps will never be the same again!
The Sol system.
All of the planets of our own solar system have been added:
Infinite Space includes a 1vs1 map with our own solar system!
New planet bonus system.
Infinite Space features a new kind of planet bonus system which makes more sense (no more "Dense Core" and "Porous Core" at the same time!).
New envoirnments and rendering
In Infinite Space, planets are rendered completely different creating dramatic terminators. New planet icons, the addition of new skyboxes and the modification of the starfield make it all much more appealing.
Scaling
Infinite Space has a minimod which scales down all units and structures down by 75%, this adds in realism and atmosphere.

Textures for planets and stars have various sources: the Celestia Motherlode, Freebitmaps, Google and myself.
Skyboxes are from the Sarcifice of Angels 2 Mod and others are made by myself.
Hi all,
Time for another update!
I'm currently working on an update for Infinite Space and it'll be named the Sol Update (1.21). It will contain several big changes to the Sol map (as the name implies) and a few texture updates as well as other tweaks, additions and bug fixes.
Also I'm working on an icon bug fix which Stellar Phenomena users are experiencing.
Stay tuned for more updates.
Cheers!
It's been like half a year ago and I've noticed theres been a ton of patches and new DLC so I've started updating the mod to 1.82!

Will you ever make a comeback and update this perfect mod? The devs have released a new update for the game!
Interesting idea, though what initially brought me here was the idea it was a mod based of the show on the same name.
Though this sounds like fun none the less.

is this able to be used in single player, self made map designs?
You need to make the planets much bigger, and give them some moons, maybe some rings, something to make every other planet at least look a bit unique. But seriously moons! Put moons! and make planets bigger. Every building in this game is like the size of a continent on the planet it orbits, its ridiculous. Could you imagine working in a building the size of a continent? Jesus.
Incredibly beautiful and amazing mod. You get my sincere gratitude, thanks!
Is it known that DLC objects like pulsar stars and blackholes have buggy icons?
I've finished another hotfix which fixes most of the issues from the comment section that I've read through. See the readme inside or at the download description for further details. Feel free to try it out:

Hey! Thanks for polishing this mod, yet i got question. This mod scales ships/structures down, making them smaller, which is realistic, but this doesn't apply to particles/graphics, which results that small ships fire beams of huge size. Is there a way to fix that?
Maybe instead of scaling units down, there is a way of scaling planets size up (as well as gravity well)?
I have no idea. I haven't touched SoaSE since then. If I were to be reinvested, I will check it out if the mod author hasn't returned by then.
