In half-life 1..Press "New game" .. Unable to run..
I created a new folder: Residual life public
extract the files from the zip file into it.
Then open pak0.pak with GCFScape and select all and extract to the folder Residual life public
hey, I tried doing that but whenever I try starting a new game nothing happens and then when I try starting a new game again all I get is a frozen loading box then the game crashes. Have I missed something or is there something else wrong?
Hey I have found out what's wrong. Just open liblist.gam file with notepad and change startmap value from rk00 to rl00.

This is how it works:
English:
1. Create folder named "resudial_life" in "Half-Life" folder (must not use blanks in folder's name!!)
2. unzip all mod files into this folder
3. open pak0.pak with GCFScape and extract all files in the same folder, too.
4. restart Steam
German:
Um die Mod spielen zu können muss bei der Installation folgendes beachtet werden:
1. Erstelle im Verzeichnis "Half-Life" einen Ordner mit Namen "residual_life" (Im Namen keine Leerzeichen!!)
2. Entpacke alle Dateien der zip-Datei in diesen Ordner
3. Öffne die Datei pak0.pak mit GCFScape und entpacke alle Dateien ebenfalls in den Ordner
4. Steam neustarten

Hello everibody, I need some help too!
I am using an old pre-steam HL version and it's working just fine with all the mods I played before, but I have the same starting problem with Residual Life: the game freezes on the starting screen.
I tried Fatality93's solution ( "Just open liblist.gam file with notepad and change startmap value from rk00 to rl00" ) and the game is working now, BUT it's not starting from the beginning (the scientist's room), but with the arriving of the train in Lambda station (the train is already there when the game starts).
Could anyone help me?

The game is interesting, that ends abruptly. Probably planned ending but now it probably will not wait.
