Hey there!
You might be a little confused about what has been going on here for the last days.
Well, Dexter overhanded me(Zynnex) Go-Mod, because I want to get some experience with the GoldSrc Engine and Half-Life modding. I already coded a lot with C++ and SDL and I already worked for Go-Mod back in 2010. It'll take me some time to get into the Go-Mod SDK and to understand all its content so be patient. I will upload some media showing the current progress from time to time.
The next release might come at the end of April and will probably feature the following:
+ A fully working physgun to move and rotate objects as you wish
+ A huge prop pack to build anything you like
+ A complete new design
+ Props will have collision
+ Nocollide tool
+ Weld tool
+ And a lot of other fun stuff!
We have a job for you!If you want to join go-mod developer team, this post is for you.
What's happening with GoMod? Where's Ranger? Who's Dexter? Read to find out...not sure what else to say here.

SmokeyReeve a rework of Gomod is in the works. It's called Gomod Reborn.
I actually discovered this a not long after posting that comment! Been following it since :)
While you're here, maybe you could help me. I just tested this a few minutes ago, but how the hell do you get the mouse to appear in the spawnmenu? Mine is invisible, its impossible to spawn stuff. If you do know how to fix that, please tell me. Thanks.
I used to play around with this a lot and have a lot of fond memories of it, but it never truly felt like a good version of the concept in GoldSRC. I thought about it a lot and I think I know why that is.
GMod is a physics sandbox designed around the Source engine. Every tool in GMod is designed around Source's feature-set and so it all feels great and fun to play with.
Go-Mod on the other hand is designed around GMod, not the Goldsrc engine. Every design decision in the mod seems designed to maximise comparisons to GMod rather than standing on its own.
I think if Go-Mod instead started at square one and designed a sandbox game based on Goldsrc's capabilities, it'd be a far greater success.
But that's just a post-mortem on an 12-year-dead mod. Maybe someone else could do the concept justice, goldsrc is a fun engine and a sandbox game based around it would be great!
