It's been a long while since there's been any significant news relating to this mod, and instead of keeping things in obscurity it's best to give some closure to things. Briefly put I regret to inform you that developing Embermoor has ended and I'm archiving the project.

There are several reasons behind the decision (continuous problems with development tools, painful workflow for importing assets), but the biggest one is the notorious "lack of time". I was in uni when I started on Embermoor and had so much more time to use for personal projects. Now that I'm working with games as a day job I've noticed it's extremely hard to devote your free time for other projects - especially ones as ambitious as Embermoor. For a while I did try doing this but soon I realized that in the long run all this juggling would certainly take a toll on other aspects of life.

Ending Embermoor was not an easy decision to make. To be honest it was one of the hardest decisions I've had to make, as it always was a very personal and important project for me. However in the end I saw this was truly the only way to go.

There are many ideas I came up with when developing Embermoor and I still wish I get to bring them to the light of day in some way. However right now there's really not much to show. IF I ever attempt to bring Embermoor back it will be on a wholly different game engine and I'll be assembling a proper team instead of working on it alone.

Fianally, I would like to express my sincere and huble "thank you"s to all you guys that kept following Embermoor throughout the development, commenting the media and giving suggestions. You guys are truly the best and your input was highly valued! If Embermoor as a project returns in some way - in any way - I'm making sure you will hear about it.

Thank you so much everyone, and goodbye for now.

Best,
Eltempe

It’s once again the time to take a look at some new stuff! This time you get to check out the game in motion. Also, added two new images to the image...

Atleast give some other team to finish it, or make the uncompiled files public, too many mods die while leaving all the work behind them to rot on some backups.

I would love it if it would have some similarity with Dark Messiah of Might & Magic. I know, that fighting system would be freakin' hard to program, but still I wouldn't mind some "stolen" gameplay elements :D

The banner definitely looks like a Thief game. What about some stealth elements?

Yes, there's actually plans for at least one stealh level! However it won't be the sort of forced stealth mission where getting caught means instant failure. Players get to choose their approach in this situation but the careful approach is encouraged and also rewarded in some way :)

Thank you for the vote!
