Better than most of today's AAA online shooters.

It won't load for me. The pop-up states that there is a problem with the Build engine initialization, specifically that there was no "palette" detected.

I believe that's what it says if you don't have the DUKE3D.GRP data file in the directory. eduke32.exe is looking for the Duke 3D game data and not finding it.

The file is not provided in the download because it is a modification of Duke 3D and we are not allowed to distribute it.

Could this be used with duke3d HRP?

It would looks strange and bad imo. All of the new content, such as the new enemies, would be sprites, and it would clash with the HRP content.

Well, I have a problem with the mod... I play on eduke32 64bit but the thing is, game is just crashes on me whenever I want to load it... So I cannot load my save game. Everytime I try to load it, it just returns to windows and I have no idea what causes it... Every help is appreciated... Thanks !

To help you I need more information. The best place to start would be the eduke32.log file that is generated any time you run the game.

Also, can you confirm whether you are able to load saves in the vanilla game using the same eduke32.exe? I need to determine whether the problem is something in the mod, or a compatibility issue between your system and eduke32 itself.

Another thing: any updates will invalidate saves. So if you have a saved game from a previous version of AA, you will NOT be able to load that save with a later version.

By the way, what folder are you running the mod from?

Got the same problem here.
Tested saving/loading on vanilla and it works fine.
I'm running it via eDuke's custom game content directory option.
A quick look through the eduke32.log didn't tell me anything, but if you wanna have a look at it I can post it.
However, if I run it on polymost, I get an error popup when the game crashes:

EDuke32 r6978
Out of memory in ???:0 (???)

No obvious errors on polymer though.
Hope this helps.

Edit: Ok, upon some further testing it seems to be a problem with the latest version of eDuke. Even when running the game through the folder you provided, if I replace the existing exe (ver r6969) with the latest version, and create a fresh save, the game again crashes when trying to load.

Yes, it's an EDuke32 bug that was recently introduced. Everyone should use the included v6969 exe.
