Contains DOOM 64 CE with upscales, PBR materials, new sounds and more. Requires a patched DOOM64.IWAD (see prerequisites instructions below). Comes bundled with GZDoom 4.10.0 for convenience, but you can use an existing installation of it. Read the readme for more details.
NOTE IF UPGRADING FROM <3.7: Saved games from previous versions won't work! This version has breaking changes, so any map packs from ModDB's addons tab need to be downloaded again. The Doom 64 Lost Levels wad should also be generated again to avoid issues with the new fire skies.

- Updated the Spider Mastermind sprite to the latest one by Craneo.
- Hell Time is now compatible with all monsters, even if they come from mods.
- Fire skies are now programmatically generated using canvas textures.
- Updated HUD scripts for blinking keys and showing the level name.

- Cast roll actors now play their melee animation.

- World ambient sounds can now be customized and added through a custom lump (wrldsnds).
- Footstep sounds can now be customized and added through a custom lump (footsnds).
- Fixed a crash when the player was crushed and squishy gibs were enabled.
- Added an option to change the lost soul limit between 21 (PSX/PC) or 17 (PSX Final/D64), if the compatibility option is enabled.
- Added an option to change the nightmare monster render style.
- Restored the melee attack key due to popular demand.
- Several small optimizations.
Prerequisites
Starting from version 2.0.4, DOOM 64 CE does not run standalone and requires a copy of DOOM 64 for Steam , GOG or Epic Games to work. The original DOOM 64 IWAD (DOOM64.WAD) can't be used as is and requires patching to make it discoverable by gzdoom. An automatic patcher is included in this package to make this process easier:
Run doom64-install.bat. It will try to find your installation of DOOM 64 and automatically patch and create all necessary files to play. If for any reason the Steam installation is not found, you can copy DOOM64.WAD to the same folder as the .bat file and it will use that instead (special thanks to phredreeke for the idea and initial implementation).
Once it finishes, open gzdoom.exe and you will be able to select DOOM 64 CE from the list. If you do not wish to use the bundled gzdoom and have it installed elsewhere, copy the IWAD and PK3s to its location or the paths configured in its [IWADSearch.Directories] and [FileSearch.Directories].

Reuploaded to fix a crash when completing a level after loading a saved game. If you previously downloaded this version, you can use the files from the Lite version for a faster download.
Thanks for the fix. I was wondering why i was getting a console error and the next level not loading(was the third one) when i pressed the exit trigger. Did this fixed it then?

You need to update the Rumble Pak to the latest. 3.7 had changes to some base parts of the mod so all map packs had to be updated.

Hi! I have the version 3.5.0. full version on Doom 64 CE and I wounder if it's possible to find all the secrets in the Beta levels, I tried to find all the secrets on Map 14, 17, 20, 23 and 30 but it seems to be impossible to find all secrets on those maps. Is there a way to fix the problem so all secrets can be found without any issues? About the map Irradiated I have killed all monsters and even though it says that it is still a few more monsters left but it's impossible to find the rest of the enemies. Is it possible to fix that issue?
That's how the original maps were made. If you check its doomwiki page, (https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Beta_64) you'll find that there's a lot of unobtainable secrets. It wouldn't surprise me if 100% kills are impossible in some maps as well.
For this conversion I tried to remove all unobtainable secrets, but only since a couple of versions ago. Perhaps you are using an older version of the beta64 addon?

Unfortunately it's only compatible with 4.10!
NEED TO FIX THE BFG I USED IT ON THE HELL BARON BUT IT DIDN'T KILL IT AS ITS VERY WEAK AND THE SAME WITH OTHER ENEMIES PLEASE FIX THIS ITS NOT WORKING AS IT SHOULD BE BEST DOOM64 MOD BETTER THAN NIGHT DIVE STUDIO ATTEMPT THANKS
