PSX DOOM and DOOM 64 total conversions for GZDoom, overhauled. This mod builds on the existing total conversions of PlayStation DOOM and DOOM 64 for GZDoom, PSX DOOM TC and DOOM 64 Retribution, to take advantage of the latest GZDoom versions and add many features that make them more faithful but were impossible to implement at their time of release. To achieve this, a large amount of the code has been adapted from GEC Master Edition (also known as DZDoom), while looking at the reverse engineered code and existing source ports of these games for reference. In addition to that, the mod is highly modular and contains many *optional* "enhancements" that deviate from the original experience. Depending on your preference, you can choose to play as close to vanilla as possible, or experiment and play with upscaled textures, PBR materials, flashy particle effects and other features that are common in other GZDoom mods.
Intended to be played with DOOM 64 CE >3.9.0 or there will be missing resources. This is a map set created by scwiba for DOOM 64 EX and the 2020 Remaster. I have ported it to work with CE. The maps included are a mix of the EX and Remaster version of this megawad, selected by scwiba.
congratulations on the release Molecico !
This is pretty damn good so far; I love the hub system that lets you choose the maps, and the levels I've completed are top quality. The only thing that really bugged me was loosing the two Demon keys after completing Permutations of Hell. Jesus, after all the time I spend figuring out how to get them. 😩
Hmmmm, the latest download is named v9, but the changelog says the latest is v10, "Updated for compatiblity with DOOM CE 3.6.0".
Am I blinded by a cacodemon in each eye, or was v10 not uploaded yet?
Thanks for the work! Looks awesome!
I'm not sure what happened, but I've reuploaded it just in case.
Perfect. Thank you for the re-upload, and thanks again for your work :))))))))))))
NOTE: This conversion was based on the last release candidate before version 1.0 was published and does not contain any of the changes that have been introduced since. I recommend playing the original instead.
