I've focused on implementing ships from other mods. They will have diverse weaponry, but are all uniformly set to the stock fleets. I have created custom ships before, but they used stock parts either from other mods or from the stock Homeworld 2 data. Hopefully I can get the Hiig tech doc to a point of releasing, which shouldn't take much longer, but it will be at an unfinished state and in Microsoft Word document form since for whatever reason all of the PDFs I export with images in the original document get sized WAY bigger than the original. And I'm trying my best to make the screenshots look as professional as possible even though the camera angles might be just a bit off.

Also reclassified this mod for HWR since I just got a copy of the game.

So four weeks ago I did a complete restore of my PC back to the original state I had it in when I got it. I did not create backups of the GFX as of June. I did have a backup from November of all the HODs and GFX I had created, but most of the major work was done from March to early June. This means that all HODs created between November and February will have to be remade as I do not have any OBJs or textures to transfer to the new Collada format for HWR. Most of the HODs I worked on were old HW2 HOD format. There weren't more than 30 HODs I created that had textures that were up to HWR standard, so I should not have a problem recreating them as the textures were stitched together with HWR ships' textures.

Also: classic HW2 speech has been modified. I have added a radio cutoff effect just for sh*ts and giggles. I do not know if I will implement the new clips, but I will upload a sample of the audio soon, probably today.

So this is a tutorial on how to use available graphic software programs to make ships, both classic and Remastered, as well as custom ships, yes?

I have yet to get a copy of the remastered version, so HWR icons won't be included in the tutorial. And no, this tutorial won't cover ship design within the 3D editor. (Nor will it cover texturing). It will only cover icon creation (for the in-game the UI) using the GNU Image Manipulation Program.
