Hello.
I have to completely focus on REARM V2, if I want to finish it till the HW3 release. Unfortunately the classic one got too bloated with features that it grew unsustainable. But it was a lesson of mistakes that I won't repeat. REARM V2 has a clear focus and it's shaping up nicely.

I am asking, because how GearBox absolutely ****** up Homeworld Remastered. Formations, projectiles... Discussed long enough.
How is Homeworld2 Remastered,if may ask? Does it plays like the original or did they also touch things, they should have not.

Homeworld 2 is very similar. It was the Homeworld that was bent to the Homeworld 2 engine. HW2 side only got very small additions.
Some things got improved, some things got broken.
Balance is much better. HW2 Classic had weak Frigates and dominating Battlecruisers. Now it's more about mixed fleets than about a race to the BC, which is good. Vaygr Assault Frigate used to be utterly useless, now it's not. Things like that, they worked on this.
What is **** is a number of bugs an annoyances like:

-When a formation of Fighters dock, it surprisingly often happens that the last one of the formation flies upwards away from the ship it's docking into instead of into its hangar. And that formation doesn't start repairing and stays that way, with some Fighters damaged in the hangar and one way away somewhere in the map. Until you order them to scuttle, at which point the one in the map explodes and the ones in the hangar start to repair normally.

-Every ship is way too aggressive. They fly off the hangar and start attacking something half way across the screen immediately. You manually call them away, they retreat and then turn around and attack again. It's like everyone is fighting apart from the short moments you just told them not to.
Maybe I didn't check everything, but even my mod ships without guns are dying to see the front line.

-Ships that are under fire tend to stop and take it, instead of running away. You're shooting into me? Oh let me stop so you don't have to work that hard.

One last question and do not take it as an offense in any way shape or form; but if you are not going to be working in REARM Classic any more, would you clean/remove unfinished stuff from it?

How would you propose doing it? A separate installation? And steam or classic CD version? Because while I can remove the unfinished stuff and I do agree with you about the product being way better when it's polished, I will offend an equal amount of people if I remove it. So there have to be two different mod instances. And I don't have time to sort it all in-game to make it optional in the menu.

So life happened and I just didn't have the time for this for the last year. Working man trying to have a life has incomparably much harder time modding than a student who started this project.
But I am slowly trying to get back into this. Hopefully, with some approach adjustments this will get done. I'm also considering ways to release the mod to portion of the public in its alpha state.
