I'm glad that you made the heavy tank on the cinematic version instead of the ingame shp. Very nice.

If you make APC and chinook, make them allies exculsive and give soviet different models. Always weird that both side use american vehicles.

the YAK-24 could replace the chinook for the soviets and the BTR or BMP or MTLB for the APC

Already ahead of you guys. lol We plan to use some modified variant of a Soviet BMP or MTLB vehicle as the Soviet APC/Mine Layer to further differentiate it from the Allied APC (a NATO M113) and since the Chinese Helix in Generals is a Soviet era Ka-27 transport in real life, we don't see any issue with modifying it for the Soviets to replace their reskinned Chinook. The YAK-24 was considered though. Soviet Tanya will be replaced with either Volkov or Boris. MTLB: En.wikipedia.org BMP: En.wikipedia.org KA-27: En.wikipedia.org

Like I did for TD Redux with adding the Ontos and SIDAM Tank as a light scout/AA vehicle for GDI, the Allies may get the M247 Sgt. York armored AA vehicle as the Allied answer to the Soviet Mammoth Tank with its mobile anti-air capability. Youtube.com However, this vehicle will not be a reskin of the Mammoth Tank as its armor will still be weak to fit in with other Allied vehicles. This will also inherit the function of and replace the Allied Radar Jammer along with having missile disabling abilities of the China ECM Tank in Generals ZH. The Soviets will keep the original Radar Jammer since its the same chassis of the Tesla Tank. Though it might be slightly repurposed to avoid redundancy. Cnc.fandom.com Cnc.fandom.com

Personally I'd say the M247 is too modern for RA. I'd highly recommend something a little older like the M42 Duster or an early version of the Flakpanzer Gepard.

One of the things that made me consider the Sgt. York is I haven't seen any RTS game ever feature it (only game I have ever seen it in at all is War Thunder) and the lazier reason is I did it to save time by reusing the M48 model I already made. lol Basically, I copied what the U.S. Military did IRL when they conceived the vehicle. I had considered the M42 as you mentioned and the Swiss Fliegerabwehrpanzer 68 as well. En.wikipedia.org They might make it in as subfaction variants too. I considered the timeline issue with the Sgt. York but the M1 Abrams that is featured in RA is pretty close to the same age as it. En.wikipedia.org Though with that being said on the Abrams I may also redesign the Abrams model I reused from TD Redux to reflect the XM1 prototypes. En.wikipedia.org

The way I like to look at the more advanced/out-of-place units in RA is that, since it's the early 1950s and an alternate universe where technology evolved differently (being both more and less advanced in different ways, like having WWII-era Yak planes alongside MiG jets and Hinds, or how atomic bombs initially hadn't been invented yet, etc.), those units aren't the same as the real-world versions, but are actually fictional designs that just happen to bear an external resemblance to stuff from our world; the medium tank, for example, could be thought of as being more akin to a Panther/Tiger/M48/M60 on the inside despite its Abrams-like appearance on the outside.

Fully agree with APB_ICE. Don't know why you got downvoted. I think having 40s to 60s era vehicles would be more fitting.

But knowing you sgtmyers88, either route you go I know it will be amazing. Tiberian Dawn Redux was an easy 10/10 for me. Loved the models and the vehicles you chose, especially for the Black Hand subfaction :)
