From my knowledge, salvage as you know it from Genx/ZH is not possible to code. But maybe there is a possibility for that.
how about using the random crates as salvage crates and make them enemy armored units when playing as GLA?
Yeah, maybe, if not - i'll try to compensate it with something else.

Maybe you can simply add a junk upgrade for that iin the vehicle bar...or in a tech center ..
