I found a solution to fix the GDI walls for AI.
Now the AI gets the proper walls back, as they no more build component towers inside those walls like seen here: Moddb.com
walls are a rather bad idea though imo. the AI could wall itself in and some maps have limited space.
I have to agree... if they knew how to use the walls the right way then i think it would be a great idea !! But this just makes the AIs base more sloppy than it already is
it could probably be easily remedied by only allowing the AI to build them after a certain structure has been made, it should be some structure that marks the end of base expansion.
I don't think setting it to sell structures would be great considering they'd probably start selling vital ones by mistake.
AI builds walls after it has finished base buildings.
AI ignores prerequisites for the most part. If they are told to build something, they will build it regardless of the requirements.
So, I think what you could do, is give them "AI versions" of things, and give those things "Build Limits" (Normally they ignore Build Limits too if their AI script calls for it more then once) where the actual construction of walls, defenses, and certain buildings, is limited to a certain amount.
AI build each building only once, exception are power and defense. GDI Watch Towers for example are all cloned so the AI builds more of them. As the GDI AI defense logic works only with upgrade systems (i.e. component towers).
Actually the only prerequisite the AI follows are buildings.
As for units only their tech level is a prerequisite.
