A small preview of what is coming next.
It will be all about Techlevel 1. With this it will get improved a lot. Mostly the unit pools will be used much better, this will mean that repetive roles will go. All units will get a uniqe touch.
This update will include the first maps, they are intended to be played with T1. So you will get some new playgrounds for it too ;)
A newbie guide is also going to be published with this update. I know this mod will mostly be too much for new players. So we will start from zero for them. That guide is also going to be usefull for veteran mod players - if you are a person who loves comparing stats etc.
Another thing is that 1.9.41 will only have official support for T1. If you want to play all techlevels, stick to 1.9.40.2 till 1.9.50
1.9.42 will add support for techlevel 2 and so on. So I am going to expand it until we arrive at 10.
We just started our journey...
I managed to edit the game, to add new things, to fix new broken things, now it's time to fine tune them.
With overhaul it's not meant to change all units - instead it's more like an intense check of each object ingame.
I will go through all animations (snow/desert) checking if each is working as intended.
Voxel units will be adjusted in Z buffer size, so they won't show on top of a power plant smoke exhaust or building.
So it's mostly those annoying small detail things I am going to hunt now down.
The AI will learn that spamming is not the only solution. It will react to player tactics more.
Balance is still a core part, but I want also to do this detail things too, but thats only possible one by one.
