Hey, definitely gonna try this. Just wondering if you can you restore the directional music from Shadow of Chernobyl? As in, how the ambient music turns around when you turn around.
But why would you want that?
Becuase it made STALKER's music different from other games in a good way.
Respectfully disagree. That 'effect' drove me nuts, it was only an artifact due to the fact SoC didn't support stereo sound...
Somehow felt the question is coming... but I don't know how it works. There might be a way to emulate it with changing ogg comments and using an ambience sound layer or converting the music back to mono could work too.

does this work with that other radios addon that adds the old soc radio ?
Radio addons use the same config file, so it won't work. On the other hand that mod added music that is already in CoC and others that my mod has too.
Would the ambience part of this work with COM?, i know com has its own ambient sounds similar to this but i like these way better.
I'm not familiar with Misery or CoM, but it could work as the mod replaces the whole ambient sound system. If CoM does not change weathers and the original sounds, it should work.

I love this mod, but those moans get annoying. Could I just delete them?
It depends on what sounds are annoying. There are screams in several channels, "the horror" and moans are in "scary". You have to delete them in mid_channels, restored_channels, south_channels too. Do not delete the whole channel, only things after "sound =".
Lets say I like everything about the atmospheric sounds except the screams every 20 seconds; what do I need to do to remove them? Obviously, just deleting the particular OGG files causes a fatal error.
Install lite, removes all sounds with screams in it.
can you try to merge original radios addon with this one?
kinda like the fact i can hear the stalker agroprom base music in the army base
There is no need to merge, just install that addon instead of mine or edit it for yourself.

I never thought it possible but you made the Zone even more "Zone-y", I now consider your mod an integral part of the Zone and will refuse to play Stalker without it! Great, amazing job!

This mod kept crashing CoC, because the ltx files were referencing non-existent sound files that weren't present in the proper directory despite unpacking everything correctly. This was especially apparent in maps like Great Swamp, Cordon, Garbage and Yantar. Every time I tried to enter those maps, the game crashed before it could finish loading.
The simplest way to fix it was to copy and paste everything from an ltx for a functioning map like radar or any of the ones other than the problem maps I mentioned earlier and paste it into the problem ltx files, overwriting everything and then save that file to the directory.
Otherwise it would have meant adding in sound files that were missing, but that's too much work.
