The definitive gameplay enhancement mod for the GZDoom and Zandronum engines. Adds realistic gore, dismemberments, headshots, executions, lightning effects, particles, makes enemies smarter and harder, makes gun louder and beefier, and adds epic new boss battles.
V.2 of the tweaked version of BDv21 Contains also a two other packs including a field medikit (weapon slot 9) and two new weapons
This is a tweaked version of BDv21 on the concept that now that it has its own firemode button it should be taken advantage of
Includes new weapon modes for most weapons (exception is BFG9000 SSG and revenant missile launcher even if it reacts to the modification) And every weapon has an alt-fire now
Tweaks and modifications
SMG when dual wielded reloads slightly faster (you're not on the firing range marine! Double time you damnable double b!!!!)
Shotgun now has slug rounds like in PB
Super shotgun reloads juuuust a hint faster
AA12 reload much quicker changing firemode swaps from 12gauge to flechette rounds that can tear through multiple enemies and ammo faster
Minigun firemode change now swaps between normal (anti-personel) and frag rounds (these rounds deal area of effect and quite a lot of damage but also eat ammo quick)
BeltFed grenade reload has been drastically sped up, has fire mode that changes between a the Anti-personal (normal) fire and "buster" rounds: very accurate, eats ammo and slow
Rocket Launcher got weapon modifier swaps between rocket shots and a weaker hitscan "howitzer" shot (inspired by blood 2's howitzer)
Dual Plasma reload has been slightly tweaked and scatter has been reduced
Railgun firemode change added to MARAUDER mode which uses half the ammo to fire small hitscan plasma pulses
BFG9000 got ARGENT alt-fire eats a whopping 200 cells but generates arcs of energy that cook enemies quick.
BFG10K Added decorative beam to primary fire, added alphaBFGball (miniBFGball) as a quick altfire mode
Mod change includes a high fire rate beam like function and a BFG "flash" mode (still needs tweaking).
Unmaker got altfire that shoots a wraith projectile, firemode change also allow to summon a lostsoul and cacodemon minion.
NapalmCannon Firemode now adds napalm shot and rolling thunder fire mode (fun times)
Revenant missile launcher Now Been reworked it can now fire a rapid drunken missiles or in other mode a piercing beam (not as powerful as a railgun) and to fire hectebus projectiles.
Add-on content (weapons been added into the game randomiser Flakker replaces grenade launcher, Tesla appears in the rotation of plasma weapons)
Flakker prototype: Works as a grenade launcher but has eight rounds and shells reload individually. fire mode can swap between grenade and flak fire mode to fire bouncing shrapnel or a very short ranged beam of shaped charge.
Tesla lightning weapon: a non magazine/clip type energy weapon fires a beam of erratic lightning, or a supercharged bolt that bounces around zapping nearby enemies.
Alternatively it can fire powerfull Tesla bolts or a chain lightning shot (projectile that splits when it hits enemies but only enemies. still WiP).
Cerberus Pup mini hell weapon
Small demonic weapon sharing ammo pool with the unmaker Has a basic assault rifle mode with a sticky bomb alt fire as well a modded very fast super shotgun like mode and a freezing shot.
(also some monsters now drop a very decorative soul ammo so you are no longer limited to zombie grunts)
Field Medikit: This small add-on changes the gameplay a bit for those who like more tactical aproaches replacing all stims and medikits with somatic gel canisters. the field medikit is a weapon (bound to 9) that when used slowly heals the player. it also can heal the player quicker but the ratio will be not 1-to-1 but 1-to-2 taking 50 units for 25 health. Also can firemode changed to add a soulsphere or berzerk-kit.
Note: This is nothing more just a bit of fun i had that i wanna share to see what others think. By no way i taking credit for anything aside from the few tweaks i made (and the field medikit... that i drawn myself :P)
P.S.: If there are a few sprite artists who see some merit in this and want to re-draw some do contact me i could use some help in that =S

Note: I forgot to mention that i also tweaked the drop rate of chaingun randomizer so the smg's drop more often
how is the field medikit supposed to be obtained?
I cant see it while Scrolling weapons.

Looks like nice but make new weapons and field medikit for original BDv21.
the weapons should work with the current version of Brutal Doom not just this tweaked version

just thought that having a button that can change weapon mode only for dual wields would be a waste so let's add some firemodes for other weapons
(and a few extra weapons the flak gun mainly because im sick'n'tired of the thumper and the lightning gun because i wanted a good crowd pleaser energy weapon. As for the "cerbepup" its just there to eat excess soul ammo if you don't have the unmaker)
Good, because I hate having to load 2 files in one time only to get an error on startup.

Nothing, it just I hate having to get confuse with loading two files when it's suppose to be standalone (like when PB 2.03 is not to be loaded with V20B for example.).

you could download zandronum and experiment with it . also mark made zandronum specifically for his other creation (brutal doom)

Awesome tesla rifle! Although, can you please tune up tesla lightning balls so it shoot multiple arcs at the same time (maybe about 7 in total limit) and actually precisely hit the flesh\metal target for more depth and realistic effect, rather than just shoot all around in enemy direction?
Perfect mod to tide me over until BD's eventual official update. Only gripe I have is that the fists have an annoying tendency to switch to Smash mode by themselves... Got me killed a few times when Pain Elementals were involved.

Still honestly my favorite variant of v21. The new weapons make them useful with the more slaughtery maps and it is compatible with the mutator addon. All without straying too far from the original formula. Besides, I never considered myself a fan of the new way execution and fatality bonuses were handed out to the player in the latest update...
is it portable with brutal doom v21 gold version?
