This works on nBlood as well, but only well on the recently released versions, otherwise it may have issues/bugs. Heres how to get it working:
How to get this working for Blood: Fleshed Out.
Example for "Blood: Fleshed Out":
1) Create a subdir in your NBlood folder called "Fleshed_Out" (or whatever you prefer instead)
2) Copy Fleshed Out files to the "Fleshed_Out" dir: FO.ini and all files with the following endings: .smk .wav .map
3) Rename FO.ini to blood.ini (important!)
4) Optionally you can zip the smk/wav/map files together (not including the ini). Filename doesn't matter (e.g. Loi1Soh.zip)
5) Launch NBlood and select "Fleshed_Out" as "Custom game content directory" from the dropdown menu, with Blood selected as main game (in case you also have Cryptic Passage showing up in the launcher). Or Blood: One Unit Whole Blood.
Just finished this mod in its entirety; fantastic set of maps, especially Episodes 2 and 3!
I was playing on nBlood (build r13623 to be exact), and I know the readme and this page both say that this mod was only tested with BloodGDX and Fresh Supply, so I decided to see if it would run well with nBlood, and I'm happy to say that it did! That being said though, there were like 3 glitches I came across that I feel could use attending to whenever you have the free time to do so:
1) FO1M1: Fun House - If you so much as open Door #3 inside the Fun House (you don't even have to actually enter the room), the port will crash every single time; I had to completely avoid the door to avoid the crash! I didn't get a full look at the error message, but it said something along the lines of "too many sprites on screen". I'll try to see if I can read it in full at some point.
2) Same map as before, but this one is kinda strange: If you load the map in either nBlood or Fresh Supply (version 1.7.14 of the mod) it says the map has 5 secrets. However, if you load the map in GDX (version 1.16, same version of the mod), it says it has 6 secrets. Is that a glitch or is there really a sixth secret somewhere?
3) FO1M7: In the Bark - Had the same crash happen to me here that happened in Fun House, with the "too many sprites on screen" crash. Fortunately, this only happened once and I was able to get through the room in question on my second try with no issue. Specifically, this happened in the room with the Spider Key, with all the rotating furniture.
4) FO2M6: Dark Magic - Level-breaking bug here. There is a potentiality that the Priest/Beast will clip through the Skull Key force field, rendering the Fire Key unobtainable (as he drops it upon death), and therefore softlocking you in the level, as the Fire Key is needed in order to get the Skull Key to disable said force field. A fix for now would be to fire an explosive at the wall immediately upon him seeing you so he gets pushed away from it.
Other than those situations, I didn't have a single issue running the rest of these maps in nBlood. Sublime mod!
Im willing to take the blame for this but the frequent obtuse placement of keys switches and buttons throughout this mod were so ridiculous that I gave up.
Its almost like the modder was trolling.
Still Excellent Job tho!
I cant express my love for blood playing all the way through and challenging myself in the process was great. But this... this addon is one of the best for the game, I might have to say its better than Death Wish, but first I'll have to make an analysis on both before I lock in my opinion. Overall great fights, awesome architecture, great use of the napalm launcher lol, and just the best in terms of difficulty, that creamy Blood goodness!
From a fan of your work Matt :)
P.S maybe episode 4?? :3
Currently i've only played the first 2 eps in FS on well done, and I have to say that these levels are super great! on par with what you'd see in deathwish. my only complaint is that it feels you get way too much napalm ammo and I kind of don't like how the final map of e1 is just a giant slaughtermap. other than that I loved it!
I can understand the napalm thing but......don't you want to blow everything away in hellfire!?
Hi. Played on FS
- In E2M2 I was able to trigger Spider button without having the key.
- In E2M4 objects casting 3D shadows (probably due to FS, and not Voxel Pack mod I'm using).
- E2M5 has a crack texture while not being destroyable.
Lately, I am playing Blood mods / mappacks and came along this one. And it really stands out against all other mods. Belongs clearly to the top qua level design and gameplay. Although I do find some keys and secrets very hard to find, had to use noclip several times. But, that is probably my fault because I believe this is normal in Blood gameplay.
All in all, high-quality maps with awesome gameplay.
a fellow mapper,
Leon
Thank you for this awesome mod.
I had a blast.
Wow! I enjoy the episode #1 very much! it was Spectacular map details, hard to find keys & switches, FUN AS HELL! 6 hour co-op Online in EZ-Mode Pink on the inside!
