Arx Fatalis Remastered Using UnrealEngine 4,DirectX12 and Nvidia Ray Tracing Arx Fatalis is a role-playing video game for the Xbox and Microsoft Windows, released on 12 November 2002 by Arkane Studios, a video game developer based in Lyon, France. Arx Fatalis is played from a first-person perspective and is set on a world whose sun has failed, forcing the above-ground creatures to take refuge in subterranean caverns. One game mechanic is the use of mouse gestures to cast spells. On 14 January 2011, Arkane Studios released a 1.21 patch and the game's source code under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL), though the game assets remain proprietary.

Hello guys i did lots of videos on Youtube because i have to travel tomorrow to England in surrey but i will try to work every day when i will have free time.

I Started to add books and i have to write them one by one ( i have lots of work ) and i did lots of things and i am working to complete all the dialogues and to make a demo soon :)

Hey man, your project sound great but i have a question
will the game support something else than DX12 once released ? (like vulkan)
cause otherwise i won't be able to play it since im using W7

You will need to improve the armors, the weapons, a new main menu, all the items, make a new health bar, a new mana bar, a new belt inventory, a new mini map, improve the lighting because the game is very dark and it does not look good at all,if you want this project to be succefull and amazing you need to improve all the above.
Arx Fatalis is one of my favorite game and I want this project to be perfect, I will be checking this project periodicaly and good luck, it will
be much work to do.
I hope it will be smooth optimized for my 4K screen. :)

and Yeas the game will support 4K and 8K.

I am working so hard right now and i will complete everything you said! ;)

i am working right now on the spell system and i am using an AI to enhance the textures quality.

The original textures are the best for me, i try to use other textures but the game doesn't looks the same :(

Please check my progress periodically :)

I have a question. The original Xbox port of Arx had a different UI and gameplay style (the UI was more akin to Deus Ex and the gameplay style was more traditional. You casted spells directly from the spellbook and could hotkey them to buttons). Could this be incorporated as an option? I found I preferred the game when I played the Xbox port entirely because I hated drawing magic spells.

to make everyone happy i will add both the features.

You can cast spells directly from the spellbook, or you cound draw the spell.
