Arx Fatalis Remastered Using UnrealEngine 4,DirectX12 and Nvidia Ray Tracing Arx Fatalis is a role-playing video game for the Xbox and Microsoft Windows, released on 12 November 2002 by Arkane Studios, a video game developer based in Lyon, France. Arx Fatalis is played from a first-person perspective and is set on a world whose sun has failed, forcing the above-ground creatures to take refuge in subterranean caverns. Hello to everyone :)
Sorry if i did'nt upload any new content but i have low perfomance laptop with intel gpu...i am planing to buy a laptop the next month if everything goes right. Right now i can't make any new videos, but i was working on the project and i created new material for the Outpost Level and the castle, the game will have dynamic smoke as you can see in the pictures below.
I also started to add new textures and material to the castle.
My object right now is to create a good atmosphere when you explore the castle.

Guess we can say it's dead now.
Dude, it was dead from the start. Guy wanted to have something in his portfolio, he chose a relatively unknown game that still generated some buzz, then he buzzed off to a normal job.
At least Arx Insanity is still in the works. Not as "pretty", but still fun.
@Ivan_Sorce
So is this mod dead or what?
I guess it was to good to be true, such a pity :(

Hey man, your project sound great but i have a question
will the game support something else than DX12 once released ? (like vulkan)
cause otherwise i won't be able to play it since im using W7
Yes the game will be dx12 and vulkan and i will try to add dx 10.
This is very promising! Please, bring it to us and never give up working on it.
Thank you <3

You will need to improve the armors, the weapons, a new main menu, all the items, make a new health bar, a new mana bar, a new belt inventory, a new mini map, improve the lighting because the game is very dark and it does not look good at all,if you want this project to be succefull and amazing you need to improve all the above.
Arx Fatalis is one of my favorite game and I want this project to be perfect, I will be checking this project periodicaly and good luck, it will
be much work to do.
I hope it will be smooth optimized for my 4K screen. :)
Unless he's doing this for payment (which might be illegal depending what license this game is currently registered under) I don't think "sucessful"-nes is going be too much of a concern, tbh.
If you are indeed that invested in this mod being perfect why don't you contribute rather than telling the creator what he /needs/ to do?
and Yeas the game will support 4K and 8K.
I already test the game on an 4K screen and looks fantastic!
Thank you for you fantastic comment! :D
I am working so hard right now and i will complete everything you said! ;)
i am working right now on the spell system and i am using an AI to enhance the textures quality.
The original textures are the best for me, i try to use other textures but the game doesn't looks the same :(
Please check my progress periodically :)
