"Awake O Dead, for there can be no rest for ye beneath the earth. Let the splintered bones burrow from the grave pall. Let cold fingers grip time-worn blades, and unseeing eyes survey the fields of slaughter. For your time has come once more. And the dead shall walk."
- Motto of the Sylvania Press
Hail brothers and sisters, welcome to The Old Realms!
The Old Realms is a Mount and Blade: Bannerlord modification set in the age of Karl Franz’s ascension to the throne.
The Setting:
We aim to capture the grim dark nature of the Warhammer Fantasy world with the intention of delivering the best possible experience for the player. The Old World will have the player meeting and fighting (Or WAAAAGHING!!) alongside legendary characters such as Karl Franz and Grimgor Ironhide, as well as exploring well known locations such as Karaz-A-Karak and Castle Drakenhof.
The Inner-Circle:
What started off as a small team with immense passion for both Mount and Blade and Warhammer Fantasy has quickly become an ever-growing project filled with a mixture of dedicated people.
What we plan to release:
The overhaul will be released in different stages. The first stage will include the Empire of Man, the Vampire Counts. From this point forward we look to expand upon the Old World itself and include as many of the factions and significant locations as we can with time.
The overall end goal is to recreate the entirety of the Old World within Bannerlord, ensuring all factions and locations are lore accurate and immersive while maintaining the sandbox elements that make Mount and Blade so enjoyable.
You can read up on our planned features over on the Talewords Forum.

For this monthly update we will be showcasing some new armours and weapons made by our team for the future update. As you can see we have a long road ahead and we are taking the time we need to get as much crammed into the world as we can.
This update might be small but great things are coming!

Environment:
We also have some new screenshots to share of our upcoming custom arena for Averheim. And the atmosphere of Averheim itself.
"The Pillar of Skulls This imposing pillar is built from the sun-bleached skulls of hundreds of orcs. It commemorates the 1707 battle where the Averheimers bloodily repelled the besieging forces of the notorious orc warlord Gorbad Griff'eud'fer. The base of the pillar is filled with candles, strips of parchment and other mementos and offerings left by the people of Averheim to commemorate loved ones killed by orcs, or as prayers for safety against marauding greenskins. Soldiers campaigning against orcs, or going on patrol in the mountains, often touch the pillar for good luck."
Code:
The coding team worked on new magic content for the spell system, we can’t yet show something, but we promise it will be awesome. In addition, the team was continuing to work on foundations for our upcoming features.

I know that people have asked about flying units, but I have an alternative suggestion, inspired by the vampire jumping which may or may not be easier to implement[for the player character]. Could you potentially make some mounts that can jump higher? I'm not sure what kind of work went into modding the vampire jump or if the mounts are more hard coded, but that would make sense for some mounts[squigs or an alternative for flying units like pegasi] and probably be really fun. In vanilla[or modded] Bannerlord, I love jumping into a crowd of units because it is EPIC. :D
I found out after hours of playing that vampires have superhuman jumping ability and no fall damage, which is awesome and fun to use in sieges or fiefs. I imagine it gives one an edge in siege defense too. I try to go back to playing vanilla but I get into a siege and think to myself"I could be jumping onto the walls or doing cheesy things like jumping up and meleeing the defenders between the crenellations in mid air" :D My character is practically a dragoon now. lol

Plz help me
i don't use other mod ,only the TOR
Please join the discord and post your load order there.
I think there is a bug with the lore of fire. I can't learn higher level spells despite the fact i do have the prerequisites.
I leveled to adept spells but it always says "insufficient caster level", i can only learn 2 novice spells
Works fine on my end, as novice i can learn both "Cinder blast" and "Bolt of aqshy" which are entry level, then i leveld up to adept caster and i unlocked "Fireball","Sear" and "Flaming sword of Rhuin".
Are you sure you're looking at the correct lore?

hello, help pls error rglGPU_device::create_texture_array failed at d3d_device_-> CreateTexture2D!
In order to fix the d3d error people may experience, please set "Terrain Quality" in options, performance to medium or higher and restart the game in order to have the changes take effect. That should fix it!
Will you include High Elves as mercenaries or invading armies at some point?
I know they're not inhabiting the old world, obviously, but they would very much be welcome, and their lack felt in such an ambitious mod.
Still, whatever this mod ends up being, it will be glorious. It already is.
Probably not, wood elves will be in the mod though
