So, as some of you might be aware of, the demo of Conquest of Life is knocking on the door. There is still quite a bit to work on though.

So far, I have seven levels. Few of them are only missing a touch, and there are few I still need to work on. The point of this artcile is however, the following:

I tried to decide what levels I will include in the demo. I however wasn't able to decide it. I then decided that maybe you, the people who follow Conquest of Life, could decide. (You don't have to follow the mod, even if this is your first time visiting this page I'll still count every opinion.) I think this is a nice way to let me know what you want from the demo. I have three options, and perks of all of them listed down.

Would you rather want:

a) Short demo- with the maps Intro, Mansion, Basement and Old Archives? (shortest time to develop, but smallest amount of gameplay)

b) Longer demo- with the maps Intro, Mansion, Library, Basement and Old Archives? (a bit longer time to develop, but more gameplay)

OR,

c) The whole Chapter 1 with all seven maps? (Intro, Mansion, Bedrooms, Library, Basement, Electric Center, and Old Archives, longest time to develop but has the most material to offer. Obviously a HUGE spoiler, but anyways :-) )

I doubt that anyone will vote, but I would really appreciate if you would :3 Simply comment down which you vote. That would not only help my work, but also give you the chance to have an influence on the demo development. Thanks!!

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Man, here's some stuff that seems weird to me in the 1.1:
1. You can unlock the final door with only the rock and the fire of the torch.
2. In the final level too, there's a weird lever in a wall that doesn't serve any purpose, at least that's what I think.
3. I don't even know when the door to the Ice shard was opened, but I guess it was when the monster spawned.
4. Only players who have played Amnesia will know that Cuprite is one of the ingredients to create something (Even if in the original game it was to create an acid.)
5. There's a door that you can't open before entering the dungeon, I think that was unnecessary.
6. Everything else is ok.

Hope to see the remastered version soon! It has been some months and wanted to replay this awesome custom story before you launch the new version! I guess all this was unnecessary, since, other people may have pointed it to you, but I wanted to clear everything in just 1 comment! Hope to see the new version soon! And congratulations on making a playable and enjoyable custom story! PD: That brute in the Cellar was my doom, I screamed like a girl, please, don't do that again Hahahaha!

I'll get through those things you mentioned:
1) I have never seen that before, and taking a look at the scripts that should be impossible. Not saying it can't be, but it's a strange issue. I'll take a look at that when I work with the remaster.
2) Yep, an iron bar which I forgot there XD Sorry from inconvinience.
3) SPOILERS! The brute which spawned broke the door where you found the ice :3
4) Good point actually. But in this case, the name cuprite is just a name ^^. If yoy don't know with what will the cuprite react with, you won't get stuck
5) There should be a total of three doors you can't open, one in Second Floor, one in cellar and one in the second part of cellar.
6) Great!

Thanks for reminding those weird things, I'll fix them on the remaster ^^. I'm very happy that you enjoyed this CS and now I will finish the remaster gladly. Thanks once again!! And yeah, the brute can be an a-hole there :P

!SPOILERS!

After you unlock the door by getting the three elements, you'll find a container of chemical from the area. You can use it to create an explosive in the room with the fire- and use it to blow the rubble away after the area collapses, allowing you to escape.

Hi,
I have just started playing your mod and like you said there is no music in the map, though your script calls:

PlayMusic("amb_06.ogg", true, 1, 5, 1, false);

which looks fine to me.
To provide some help, I searched both, the Amnesia main game ogg files and the ones you provide with the custom story. Your music folder is emty. So if it was a custom Track you made yourself, you just fogot to put it in there.

But maybe you wanted the track 06_amb.ogg to play which can be found in the music folder of the main game.

Then just change:PlayMusic("amb_06.ogg", true, 1, 5, 1, false);

to:

PlayMusic("06_amb.ogg", true, 1, 5, 1, false);

in your void on enter and everything will be fine :)

You're actually correct, since that's the real way to write the script :p But the problem was that it didn't work on me, but it worked with one of my testers. I just realized how dumb I am because I did'nt change it in the 1.1- even if it doesn't work on me, it would work with others >.<

I will probably upload 1.2 later, to make it all glitch free. Thanks for eye-opening help!

Oh ... don't forget to fix the hammer bug for the upload!
