Ages of the Federation is a new total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. This mod takes place in the Enterprise and Original series eras, focusing on the conflict between the early Federation and Klingon Empire. A resurgent Romulan Star Empire, angry and still licking its wounds after their defeat to Earth and her allies waits in the shadows, ready to take advantage of any of misstep by either the warring powers. The Xindi, new to the galactic stage are also eager to forge their own path.
The final moments of the Battle of Algeron - heavily damaged and with no hope of victory, Columbia NX-02 charges the Romulans head-on in the hopes of giving Challenger NX-03 time to escape.
Construction of Starbase 01 was completed only months before the onset of the Earth-Romulan War. Located in the remote Algeron system, the station was meant to serve as Starfleet's first permanent extra-Solar deep space outpost, supporting the growing fleet in the field and, furthermore, acting as a symbol of Starfleet's progress and humanity's growing presence in the galaxy. From the Romulans' perspective, the shining new starbase had to be eliminated.
Five Romulan warships were dispatched to assault the base. The Romulans struck suddenly and with force, hammering the station with a barrage of disruptors and nuclear torpedoes. Though armed, the station's defences were quickly overwhelmed - Starbase 01 was simply not designed to be a fortress.
Two Starfleet vessels - Columbia NX-02, under the command of Captain Erika Hernandez, and her sister ship, Challenger NX-03, commanded by Captain Bran Stiles - answered the starbase's distress call, racing with all speed to help in the defence. They arrived just as the station lost main power.

Ah yes, the preemptive cunter-punch.
Dam those pesky Romulans still that nx class is a thing of beauty great work that scene looks straight out of enterprise even though the war happened after the events of the show that was a shame it would have made it better if Enterprise was set in this period well that's just my view on it.
That's an awesome station in the background at a great angle too, very Regula 1 angle.
*looks for Hunter* guess he isn't here yet, DAT AFT!
My God it looks good
Isn't Columbia the ship that created the Borg? Romulans should've used more nukes...only way to be sure
At this stage of Star Trek history, the Borg have existed in the Delta Quadreant for over 700 years at least.
