Ages of the Federation is a new total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. This mod takes place in the Enterprise and Original series eras, focusing on the conflict between the early Federation and Klingon Empire. A resurgent Romulan Star Empire, angry and still licking its wounds after their defeat to Earth and her allies waits in the shadows, ready to take advantage of any of misstep by either the warring powers. The Xindi, new to the galactic stage are also eager to forge their own path.

Imagine a new and improved sequel to Sins of a Solar Empire that allows for the addition of small and large scale events á la Stellaris.

Send in a fleet with the USS Enterprise NCC-1701, encounter this event and the Enterprise gets a -80% combat efficiency debuff called "Commodore Decker".

You also get a battered and bruised USS Constellation that can either be used to destroy the Planet Killer immediately or if you manage to defeat it with other means you get to keep the ship, potentially repairing it.

A man can dream... for now I'll "just" be happy with anticipation for this mod. ;)

Peo01, I agree with your event idea for Sins. I actually prefer Sins over Stellaris, because there's less micromanaging, and you get a better angle on fleet actions in Sins. In fact, I'd even made a galaxy map with multiple systems as a proof of concept that the game could be expanded to be more like Stellaris in scope, if not in game mechanics, you just need a decent computer to run it well for the length of the game. I think the Sins creators could do it. Just need to distinguish between system view and galactic view where system data is stored, not rendered. That's the draw back with Sins. It's all constantly rendered to some extent whether you're up close or not. That being said, I can't wait for this mod either.

The model is awesome, but I never liked the design. I always felt that neck was impractical, too narrow to be of any use, not to mention a structural weakness. The excelsior neck was way better.

other TOS fed ships show phaser turrets(Dorsal & ventral) and torpedo tubes, but for some reason they never added any to the connie.

The re-fit was good, though.

Description

USS Enterprise enters the L-374 star system to find all the planets in the system destroyed, and her sister ship, the USS Constellation, wrecked and adrift.

With no apparent natural means for the devastation before them, the only logical conclusion is that the Constellation was attacked. Going to red alert, Enterprise moves in to investigate.
