Ages of the Federation is a new total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. This mod takes place in the Enterprise and Original series eras, focusing on the conflict between the early Federation and Klingon Empire. A resurgent Romulan Star Empire, angry and still licking its wounds after their defeat to Earth and her allies waits in the shadows, ready to take advantage of any of misstep by either the warring powers. The Xindi, new to the galactic stage are also eager to forge their own path.
A group of Vulcan starships depart from their ancestral homeworld, en route to bolster the defences around Vulcan colonies as the Klingons advance towards the inner Federation. Though Starfleet had taken over as the official, unified fleet of the Federation, many worlds continued to maintain their own vessels, the better to carry out independent operations and handle internal affairs without being dependent on Starfleet.
Vulcan still bears the scars of an atomic war fought long ago, a war many magnitudes greater in scale and ferocity than Earth's own Third World War. Though Vulcan had always been a hot and arid world, its climate was forever changed by the fire of atomic bombardment, and today much of Vulcan's surface is little more than a scorched, rocky furnace, with vast regions that are completely uninhabitable.
The Vulcans themselves, however, in the wake of the ancient conflict that drove them to the brink of extinction, underwent a different change. As the teachings of the philosopher Surak took root in Vulcan culture, the Vulcans' savage, emotion-driven nature was tempered and finally suppressed, replaced by a dedication to reason and the application of logic. Their blasted world stands as a permanent reminder of the dangers of uncontrolled emotion and the darkness that can arise from chaos.

I love the Vulcan ship designs. Whomever it was that designed them for Enterprise really deserves a beer.
Simply Amazing!
Tell what you want, but that chaos gave birth to the greatest and sassiest cunter punchers in the entire galaxy!
DAT PROW(s)!
Shouldn't it be DOSE PROWS!?
(English Major, 2nd Fleet)
A most scholarly assessment and well do correction to my grammatical error, sir. A fine addition to this altercation of alternative aesthetic appreciation.
(Dat English Lesson Yo) ;)
Ooh, odds are looking better for getting to command some of these beauties then!
I do love these ship designs, great work guys!
We're likely to get them through allying with neutral factions.
That's some top quality fanfic in the description.
