Ages of the Federation is a new total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. This mod takes place in the Enterprise and Original series eras, focusing on the conflict between the early Federation and Klingon Empire. A resurgent Romulan Star Empire, angry and still licking its wounds after their defeat to Earth and her allies waits in the shadows, ready to take advantage of any of misstep by either the warring powers. The Xindi, new to the galactic stage are also eager to forge their own path.
The forces of Terra Prime move to strike at a Federation trade hub, the goal being to disrupt relations between Earth and non-human worlds.
Though their numbers continue to dwindle as the Federation becomes more established, the remaining forces of Terra Prime are sustained by their fanatical belief in human isolationism. Much like the ideology of their crews, Terra Prime’s outdated cruisers are relics of a different time, but in the hands of the pro-Earth militants have been given new purpose - albeit a significantly less noble one than that for which they were first built.
It has been said that humanity would finally reach maturity and wisdom only when it begins not only to tolerate, but take special delight in differences of thought and forms of life. Humanity stands on the cusp of reaching that goal, contrasting ever more greatly with those who work for more sinster, regressive purposes.
