STD (or insert whatever preferred name) would be a much better show if you were writing for it Orion.

I'm of the opinion that DSC would be a much better show if a drunken monkey was writing for it.

But that's just me.

Description

Romulus - the seat of the Romulan Star Empire.

In the Time of Awakening, the post-apocalyptic aftermath of the war that brought the Vulcan people to the very brink of extinction, two factions emerged from the horror - the followers of the teachings of Surak (who himself had perished in the fallout), committed to the application of logic and the suppression and control of emotion; and 'those who march beneath the Raptor's wings', who embraced their passions and sought peace through iron will.

Records from the Time of Awakening are very scarce, but those that remain intact indicate that irreconcilable differences drove these two factions apart, and possibly into conflict. Factually, very little is known about this period of Vulcan history, but what is known is that, as the teachings of Surak took root, the militants found themselves at an impasse and chose to leave Vulcan forever. Beyond that, even by the early 23rd Century nothing was known of what became of them.

In truth, the exiles traveled the stars for decades, moving from world to world in search of a place to call home. Far from wandering refugees, they moved with clear purpose, seeking to realise a great vision they had for their people - a world that could serve as the foundation for a mighty Empire that would stretch across the stars, from which one day they would return in triumph to the ancestral home they left behind, and in victorious splendour demonstrate to their distant brothers the folly of their ways.
