Is it possible to run other Quake mission mods with Epsilon quake, that haven't been redone/patched for the main Epsilon quake? I've downloaded some other mods, such as WarSpasm, Zerstörer - Testament of the Destroyer etc, and would like to know if they can be used, and will they have all the lighting effects etc?

I have installed the game, updated to the latest version. The file you suggest does not exist at all on my system, and the game refuses to run, regardless of what compatability mode I put it under. My version is Windows 10 Professional 64 Bit.

The Devistation.ini file is created when you first SUCESFULLY run the program, so never gets created on my system, as the game NEVER STARTS. So, how can you edit a file, that does not exist?

Installed this, and soon as i start it, it just gives a grey screen with the windows 10 spinning dots, then just crashes out. anyone have any ideas on how to get this to run? i remember playing this ages ago, under windows 7 and it worked then.

Installed this update, and what a mess it turns out to be. Firstly, no start menu (New game etc). Blindly clicking about, i finally manage to start a new game, only to find out that ALL the textures have gone, there are black models everywhere, it makes it totally unplayable.
Looks exactly like Fast_Train screens totally unplayable.

I have a simple question, I dont know if this patch fixes it or not.
I'm running it fine on my PC,BUT when, say a barrel explodes, or the ATC (Tank thing) at the start, there is the sound of the explosion, but all i see is a big cloud of red 'X' s. Anyone have any ideas?

Ive downloaded and installed this Mod, but when I launch it, the VALVE logo video plays, then there is a DING, and it just crashes back out to the desktop, no error message, nothing. I have all the Source SDK bases installed. Ive even tried the steampipe fixes, but to no avail at all, it just will not work. Anyone have a fix for this, as i really enjoyed playing it before. It did launch to the menu for a split second, then it crashed out, and not been able to run it since.

Installed the patch, and it still has problems. The first door you come to with the wooden planks across, broke those, but STILL cannot pass through, its as tho there is an invisible object blocking your way, happens a couple of times where there is no door at all, but still cannot pass through. In the room where you find the monitor that changes views of the prison, a combine guard appears by the door, ignores you, and leaves you trapped in the room. Clipping is the only way past.Played this mod a while ago, and it was full of bad errors like this, doors not opening, etc. Anyone have any ideas?

I;m running the latest version of Windows 10 - 64bit, and have tried running this game, but it still fails to even start. The file that you suggest does not even exist on my system. I've tried all compatability options, and nothing works at all. (Didn't even startup at all). Even patched the game to the latest version I can using the patch off this site.

I need Help here....
Played this the other day, fine, no problems whatsoever, saved game so I could continue.
Tried today, Major problems....

1. Game starts, displays demo movie, with no sound, till I hit the mouse button, then when I call the main menu up, it bogs right down and takes forever to appear.

2. Once in the main menu, load savegame. Game starts, and within a few seconds, 'SAY:' appears in the top left of the screen. I hit 'Escape' to close it, and then after a few seconds, it appears again in the top left corner. I then proceed to get stuck in a loop of 'Esc' and then 'SAY:'.

Anyone know how to stop this from happening? Really pi**ing me off.
Don't even know the key for calling up the 'SAY:' command anyway.
This happens regardless of which Quake I'm playing, be it the original, the mission packs, or the add-on packs (Travail etc)

The only trouble I have, is trying to get the crossbow bolts to 'bounce'. How do you make them do it, they just end up either in the wall, or the floor.

Ahh thank you, worked for me. On another note, I seem to crash out on the water hazard part, just before you get to the part where you have to push the washing machine into the basket to make the ramp rise. Dont know if anyone else is having this problem?

OK strange issue here.

I prefer to set my bindings as the following:
Forward - Mouse 2
Attack - Mouse 1
Alt Attack - Mouse 3
Run - Shift

HOWEVER, using this setup, results in the following happening.

If I run, and then release shift, I still continue forwards, even tho no finger is on the Forwards button. Once this happens, I cannot then move backwards. This continues even after a level change.
If I go into the options menu, and look at key bindings, Forwards and Alternate Attack have been cleared, Not binding any key to Run is the only way my mouse bindings remain unchanged, but then I'm stuck with just walking.

I'm all patched up to date, anyone have ideas?

HELP! I have a question about the Mission pack 2 download off ModDB.
The size of the file stated should be 476 Meg, BUT when I click on the download button, tell it where to put the download etc etc, the download starts. It gets to 491KB, and says the download is complete. When I check the size of the download, lo and behold, it's only 491Kb in size. Is there ANYWHERE else hosting the downloads for this version of quake? Or am I forever stuck in not getting the mission pack 2 vesion? Can someone PLEASE fix this download at ModDB? I must have tried to download this at least 10 times now, and it's always the same result.

I have a strange thing when trying to use the mission packs.
On The Reckoning, there is no green keycard to be found, and some doors that are 'unlocked' from other places in the levels, do not open when you go back upto them, so I have to clip through them to continue forwards.

On the Ground Zero mission pack, where there should be lifts, there is nothing at all, just a 'stump' where the lift should be. Also, the 'ore mover' activates, but doesn't move at all.

Anyone have any ideas what's going on?

Hi-res textures working fine. Zaero mod also has problems (missing monsters, weapons etc. as well as the lifts)
