Hey, RubberTunes, i just played the first map of this megawad.
Pretty atmospheric, indeed.
But i noted that there are no map names, or map names patches, or dehacked patch for automap names and custom text screens.
If you don't know how to make them, i will gladly lend you a hand.

This wad has potential, and i think it could be better with a little backstory. It reminds me a lot to one of the best atmospheric wads out there: The Talosian Incident.

@Gnear: Maybe its your anti who recognize it as a trojan. I double cheked everything in the zip and its alright. Just the needed files to play it.

Hey, come on! You didn't make it STANDALONE, you just compiled de mod, gzdoom and freedoom phase 2.
This is nothing near a stand alone release of this awesome mod
it would be nice to add this to the PSX Doom TC. I hope this mugshot had the splatter death animation as the PSX Doom had.

I really like the things you do to this mod. But, as the original smooth doom, there are only one thing in the entire mod that isn't smooth: the liquids.
And also, could you add some lighting effects to the torches and different light sources or something? It really takes the atmosfere of the game to another level.
i have a problem with this mod. I don't know why, but, if i save while this mod is loaded in gzdoom, then take a break and come back again, when i tried to play the last saved game, it will not reload.. Very strange. I tried different versions of gzdoom and in every one happends the same. Doesn't happened with RDND. I usually load a map mod (ex. Vanguard), a hud mod (wwd64hud), an older version of beautiful Doom (v5.3, i think. Its separate in modules), PSXSFX (sound from console versions of Doom) and droplets. I really like this mod, love the different death animations. Are you addin a little smooth animation for the monsters while they are alive? Cos' sbrightmaps (red glowing eyes for monsters in darkness) fails to make it glow sometimes.
Hey, thanks for the reply. The story, so far, is totally consistent, the only thing that needs elaborate properly (not only in your mod, Bethesda should had do it too) is the part of the Night Sentinels, the wretch, and the praetor suit -supossedly- the original doom guy suit enhanced by the wretch. If it was my story, i would made the Night sentinel a rougue squad of the earth forces, trapped in a very depth layer of hell and mind warped for that. The wretch could be a hellspawn captured by the sentinels and submitted to inimaginable experiments by them. The doom guy, disliking the method of the order, set free the wretch and they escape togheter. Then, the wretch, improve doomguy's suit. But sudenly, they are found by the order...i don't know how to make the order symbol to properly appeard in doomslayer helmet after he awakes. But beyond that, the storyline of your mod looks fantastic. I'm drooling for play it now.
Hey, Nevander, I love how you made the doom 64 mod. For purist and casuals alike. But i had a little request and, maybe, and interesting idea to share with you. I'm desesperately waiting for the Retribution chapter and i was thinking that i would be awesome if you could put the missing monsters in it. Like the Revenant (maybe make this as PSX DOOM? Slower, but deadlier), the Spider Mastermind, and, (i don't know if this posible) a new graphic Arch-Vile. I know that the original Doom 64 doesn't have them, but well, i think that the Retribution chapter, the one that links the event in Doom 64 with Doom 2016, NEEDS them. I would be great if is there a way to show how doomguy gains the brutal atitude that he have when he becomes the DoomSlayer.
Well, i write a bit much, sorry if i bother you. but i can't hold on to myself when i start dreaming of your Retribution chapter. Its so much fun brainstorming ideas.

Please, add subtitles to the String mod, i played through it but i can hardly understand the distorted voices in the flashbacks and during the grammaphone recordings.
The story seems to be quite promising and i really want to grasp it to the full intention.

Hey i am suffering what i think is a bug.
when i enter the deep cellar, the place is flooded...and there is no floor...so, yes, i end falling endlessly into the blackness.
I there a way to fix it?
I have the latest patch, 1.3.1 and a redist version of Amnesia.
you only have to run down the hallway, after some barricade-thing there is a door and a switch to open it at the side
Maybe the developers of this mod doesn't note this fact...or maybe they do but think its for another reason.
But, seriously, why, with three thousand and more downloads, this mod only have fifty eight review?
Main reason could be non-community friendly players, but...to community friendly players from all around the world, the lack of subtitles draws us back. And, surely, there are more like me out there, that don't want to put a bad score in something that shows potential to be one of the greatest mods here.
And i almost sure, that the developer of this mod don't make it only to be played by 58 people out there.
So come on, guys! Subtitles are the only step away from world community.
Strange, i played this custom story in the past with no problem or bug at all. But now, when i solve the water puzzle, the game crash when the new memento appeard. I have the redist version with the lates patch 1.31.
In the sewer labirynth, the oil on the table doesn't appeard at all. I had to look a walkthrougth in youtube to find that. Also, in the flooding room, there was no lever and i get stuck between some boxex and can't move at all
i was hoping to play tjis custom story for a long time, but it throw me aways that it doesn't have any kind of subtitle. Please add subtitles, not only native english speakers play this awesome game.

I can pass through the bridge, i had to put a peanut can from a nearby shack over the generator to climb up the bridge. :S
I found a game breaking glitch. After retrieving the fuel cans on the surface, when i operate the generator to swirch bridge directions. The Bridge literally blows-up into the sky remaining there stand still and i can't get up the bridge to cross it. It happened almost six time by now. One time it isn't happened this way. The bridge simply don't go down to let me cross it.

I managed to find my way up to where overture's end. And i get stuck there in that fateful hall. I have the crowbar but there's no place to use it

I managed to go on by myself. I really like this mod, but it have little-to-nothing hinting where to go next. It really gives the sense of exploring and survival, but too many things are rather hard to figure out. Now i'm stuck in the gas tunnels with little holes in the walls, i have the battery. But i don't know where to go.
I'm a little lost after recovering the vent tool. Anybody please, a little hint where to go. I Search for other vent to open, but no one opens.
Oh yeah! i gottcha! i acompplished it in my first run but i doubted if it was the proper ''game over'' ending, thanks for answering MrBehemont ;)
By the way your mod is excellent! And playing it i remembered the horror that shiver me when i was a little child and i saw ''The Trap Door'' chapter where the splund emerges and break havoc in the cartoon. Creepy as hell to my little mind.
I can't found the ''game over'' ending. I think it triggerd with not doing something during the ending secuence...
I found a very strange glitches, SPOILER ALERT: 1)after opening your father's desk, i returned to the bathroom and fell into madness...well then i hit continue from the menu and i started the game from the father's desk... and the camera was locked on the desk, i moved the mouse and the player but it continue to focus on the desk and the inscription ''The XXXX is gone'' appeard every time the camera points to where the desk must be.
2) I can see what's in the desk without open it, just forcing the view in the little open...after that i lose the option to retrieve what is in the player's room because the room get corrupted and the items nowhere to be found.
Well so far, this TC is amazing...but i had to re-start it a few times again because of this glitches.
