Just played the latest version and I have to say I am blown away... the flaks are actually shooting down the missiles, I can only imagine what sort of scripting backdoors you had to used to get that working :)

Still this is the funnest mod I have ever had the pleasure of playing and hope that you continue the hard work!

I have never really found a problem with missiles.. usually you just use ECM capable ships to intercept the path of the enemy missiles then flick on the ECM and bam, you got defense for the larger ships that don't have ECM.

Edit: This was happening in 0.8, however when I updated to 0.82 I noticed their lack of firing at all anymore.

I currently run on an 500 buck laptop and this has not been a problem, FPS does not appear to dip when this happens... maybe its just me; but it does obstruct the view of my enemies (Not a downside just a nice thing to be aware of in combat)

Same as my reply from earlier, giving raiders the ability to fire out nukes would negate the use of basestars and other classes of ships as players would just field hundreds of them.

Even if they were only deployed rarely they would not be as useful or devestating as any other class of basestar...

Keep in mind homeworld 2 and Starwars EAW run on completely 2 different engines.

So there are two problems with this request; the first being lore (Have you ever tried to capture a battlestar or basestar before? Its crewed by thousands of trained marines and toasters, far more effective to just nuke the bastards)

Second, to my knowledge you can't give a small craft like raptors or heavy raiders an ability like that or else balance would go out the window as it would easily become a terrible plague (Just field hunderds of raptors or heavy raiders instead of battlestars... since they are very hard to kill with flak)

Actually if you look closely I have noticed that assault raptors do infact fire their missiles at structures and larger ships, though the effect is barely noticeable.

P.S: I do agree about the number of posts a day.

There have been two other WH40k mod attempts in the past, how are we sure you wont' also fail? No offense..

By the way, I would be glad to playtest the hell out of it.. and possibly send a few sound bytes over skype, I have a good voice.

Hello Zombie, I am a large fan of your mod Fall of kobol but something has always bothered me.

Explosion effects are kind of lacking.... I don't know, I just have been playing so much Armada 3 that cool looking explosions are a must have in my mind.

I have tried to transplant some explosions but they keep creating white squares... mostly because I want to have a nice and flashy BSG battle with missiles and HD explosions.

Maybe you can work on some sort of HD effects pack?

Hey SONE dev, I noticed lots of the smaller ships are alot darker wise then others and are almost pitch black unless its close to a star...

Any chance for a fix?
