I'm sure it's a engine thing but it would be fun to be able to target friendly (for now) allies with some of the Mini negative race perks.
For instance your the Feds allied with the Roms ....you hit them with Zindi probe...your allies wouldn't know who did it.
I dont play multi...but....would be interesting for even sp games.
Worked fine yesterday...today I get a crash at loading.....
Between my current play through of the MassEffect series and now this Iβm going to be officially a stoned space gamer.
I grew up with TOS so these ships are the real deal being manned by men/women with out a Wesley in sight.
And in a rare opinion Enterprise the show had a little of TOS feel.
Good time for gamers I suppose.

Would it be possible as the Feds to have the "rebels" or minor factions and replace the πred hand symbol πwhich is from vanilla Sins to be the Federation World symbol thats already in the game as one of your possible avatars?
It would make sense game wise as these rescuers are at least flying the flag or part of the Federation and not some red fisted group.
Anyway I think it would be cool if on the infocards and such if the red fist was replaced with the Fed symbol.
Thought my eyes deceived me..it was late...but I somehow managed to 'acquire" a Romulan cruiser and a second hand Klingon cruiser. πββ

If you follow the tech tree it seems that you need the Columbia refit to get to the Yorktown.

OK hear me out..
I was about to load a new game... looking through the game winning options...
I've used the Capital win option before in and out of Sins vanilla and mods.
But I've never selected the flagship option which you guys have smartly changed to assassination win. (cool idea)
I've never used this option because I fear it might prematurely end an otherwise great long game.
So I was wondering would it be possible to make a assassination win/flagship loss not a game ending event but a major game event where you would lose major culture/leadership/tech something or other?
I've heard over the years that the engine this game is based on will not allow any race to function without having fighter/bombers/shuttles in their fleets.
That's a shame cause the Federation would be a unique race without fighters or bombers and more fitting with the lore.
It's weird seeing tiny shuttle's fighting in a role they were not designed for.
The models for the colony ships should be downsized and used as the fighters and upscale the Galileo models you use for fighters and make them the colony ships?

Even in vanilla itβs to easy to win them over. IMHO
It should be a combination of envoys and at least some sort of percentage of your culture %.
But the addition of different models for every race is great, even in vanilla the minor races are just a combination of pirate ship models or TEC ships.
I started playing the other night for the first time and started wondering how such a small fleet count could cover large maps.
The ai also has to deal with the spreading of it's fleet so thin so all even there....
You start to realize that minor factions play a HUGE role in this game, they cover territory you cant.
And the techs and raids they provide are meaningful...getting an envoy out and getting friends is as important as getting your techs up.
If your playing this game w/o all the dlc additives your missing out.
