Did you tried playing your maps with FTE engine? It's for Quake, but it can load Hexen2 levels too... and i don't think the size of the maps will be a problem for it :)

Q2XP was perfect until yesterday, when i installed the new nvidia drivers. Now i had that weird white square on the upper right of the screen... Following your advice, i turned off depth of field and my problem was solved. Thanks =D
Sometimes when i blow up a lot of enemies with a grenade, a "packet overflow" message is diplayed and the explosion and gibs don't show up... is there a command line to avoid this? Thanks :)

I tested this map with Berserker engine. Berserker also have realtime shadows, but you can turn it off in menu options or using "r_shadows 0" command in the console, this way the map looks beautiful without the flickering shadows. It doesn't need re-light the level or calculate deluxe maps, it just need turn the r_shadows to 0. But i don't want to play all the levelpack with berserker engine only because of this issue, that's why i was asking you if there is a way to turn the realtime shadows off in Q2XP :/
Hi! It's me again! Is there any console command to turn off the realtime shadows? I'm playing this levelpack here Quakeulf.suxos.org and there is a map with some really ugly flickering shadows (if you want to see for yourself, download the pack and type "map nottech") it's really distracting. I've already tried "r_shadows 0" but the game said "r_shadows is developer protected" :/
I just finished the first level and noticed that the second cutscene doesn't have sound :(
It's no big deal because i can read the dialogue, but since nobody point out this bug here...
nevermind. i've just found out that panzerchasm version 0.30 doesn't have this bug =D
How did you pass the forest cheating? Did you fly or nocliped?
Oh, i remember having some problem like this. Copy the Quake2 folder to another location, like outside the Steam folder. This solved my problem =D
@twitch72 Are you trying to start the game via Steam? I don't think this works. You have to go to the quake2 folder and double-click "quake2xp.exe". Works great for me =D
Yes, i have an integrated sound card (Realtek). The sounds and the music in the game are in normal speed, just the music in menu is in slow motion... but it's no big deal, maybe i just have to update the drivers or install OpenAl software ;)
Hi! Since you already made the hardest part (the "view" weapons, with arms and animations) do you intend to release the "pickup" version of the weapons someday? =D It should be easy to do, just delete the arms and the animation =D please? =D
Hi! I was searching in the q2xp0.pkx files for the music that plays with the game menu, and i found it (idlogo.wav). But when i heard it, i've noticed that in the game the idlogo.wav is played in slow motion. It's like this for everyone, or it's a bug with my sound card?
Nice Work!! This is by far the best engine for Quake2! Everything is perfect! My only complain is that when you shoot with the blaster (first weapon) close to an enemy you can't see the sparks, but i think this is a bug on the original Quake2, not on your engine.
I love all the features, but will we be able to use the classic Q1 weapons, in the middle of the screen? please? <:)
