"PanzerChasm" is a free software reconstruction of game "Chasm: The Rift" by "ActionForms", see En.wikipedia.org.
Each project (PanzerChasm or tool) have own qmake project file in related directory. You need just open this project in QtCreator and build it.
For PanzerChasm on Windows you need set path to SDL2 headers/libs in PanzerChasm.pro.

all you need to do is paste the CSM.bin to the main dir, and run the PanzerChasm.exe.
- music support through cd drive doesnt seem to work
- you can se the fov as high you want (cl_fov)
- might be a good idea to force anti aliasing
- mouse input is quite wierd, has a huge accel for some reason
- supports small numeric hud
works fine on win10, ive made the screenshot myself, credit goes to panzer for making this port from scratch
You can disable mouse accel with "cl_mouse_acceleration 0"
is the game fully playable? i really dont like playing on a low resolution so this seems to be the fix im needing, btw where is the source code for chasm, i cant find it

technically it's not a source port, it's reconstruction from scratch.
Wow, I was reading about that game (after stumbling upon random video review on YT) then someone mentioned PanzerChasm, googled and found this file uploaded few hours earlier. What a coincidence...
This is a promising engine recreation, but is currently broken with a few issues. For one thing, the turrets in mission 3 can somehow crawl around as well as be gibbed (definitely not faithful to the original game), which I'm assuming is a bug. But more importantly, you can't beat the game normally because the rockets you walk past in mission 3 have too big of a hitbox now to walk around them. Hope development continues on this project to iron out those little bugs, as well as maybe improve upon collision detection of the game as a whole, as it was never really all that good in the original game.
psfan, I ran into that as well (the rocket problem) I found if you change the fov setting, I went down one notch from base setting, I was able to get by it. I never experienced the turret problem, though.
Thanks any way for that nice Port which makes this old game playable again.
ADDON1 Map1 is broke by that hitbox Problem too. I can't pass through the Forrest without cheating ;(
Hopefully it will be fixed, because it would be bad if that nice Port stays bug'ed.

nevermind. i've just found out that panzerchasm version 0.30 doesn't have this bug =D
Fullscreen does not work.
There are also collision issues, I cant walk past the missiles or jump over the couches in level 3.
Can you please add support for music?

Also, enter "cl_mouse_acceleration 0" in the in-game console to disable mouse acceleration.

good port right now. My only issue is how dialogue does not play, you can't skip certain dialogue bubbles during the mission debriefing, and can only skip the entire thing.
