After a few years of 'on and off' working on the mod, which is supposed to be my take on what Hexen 2 should have looked like, I decided to release it once it is done. The progress was very slow at the beginning, however, releasing Trenchbroom map editor together with tools and ports, which made the mapping less painful, speeded up the process. The name is just a placeholder. No story, yet. The mod tries to be more like the first Hexen - gameplay wise - more monsters, more open spaces with large battles, funnier level design, while keeping the puzzles of the second.
Brings back memories of the streets outside Bafford's Castle in Thief.
Yup, Thief is surely among isnpirational sources :)
This looks awesome!! o_O
Woah! Dude! That's an impresive amount of work and dedication you putted out there. I need to learn how to map for this game and create amazing content for the community just like what you are doing man!
I haven't played it, but soon enough. I will even grab a buddy with me to play it in Cooperative :)
I know your map is probably optimized for single player plays. I hope there's enough of mana's, potions, goodies for a shared fun with a game partner :P
Thank you so much for this ! And for keeping one of my very 1st and favorite childhood game I ever played.
Have a great weekend !
