So if I understand this correctly, this ambience mod does NOT have rough positional audio where mutants are in a map? (Barks, grunts, ect) And removed any that are just fake sounds? I'm a huge fan of soundscapes mutant audio being able to tell where they are.. but I assume those are using the same channels as your ambient sounds or something? I would absolutely love to have the full ambient sounds of nature while also knowing where mutants are in the map. Sorry if I have this whole thing wrong lol

Ahhh you had me till the ringing... I absolutely cannot stand the ringing noise with controller attacks... this would honestly be perfect if you could somehow implement the laughing controller too (forgot which mod that is) lol.

Yeah it's really unfortunate to see the A-Life is broken.. I'm a little baffled why it was done this way..that is what makes Stalker the best game ever man!

I'm with you on a lot of this.. I've been playing a couple dozen hours (a lot of exploring every little space) and I'm in dark valley Chapter 2 with a Saiga and a VSS from the smuggler guy lol. I think they should altogether get rid of that smuggler order system and put it in a later map..it honestly makes browsing any normal trader for weapons pointless since you know the smuggler has more than enough and probably better stuff.

As for fast travel.. I agree again.. it's different for each player.. some might play through this whole thing in 30 hours.. but there are slower and more deliberate players that search everything and just get absolutely tired of walking back and forth needlessly. My biggest gripe so far really is the lack of encounters with NPC's.. once you clear a place, that's it.. areas basically dead.. It's like every single stalker just packed up and left the zone for whatever reason. Mutant respawns seem fine enough, keeps things interesting - but the real fun is firefights with other stalkers (for me)

Thirdly.. it seems like some of the ballistics are just straight up incorrectly set or something. I've tried a VSS with SP-6 rounds on a military guy and he just sat there jiggling while I put 15 rounds into him (on master) lol.. tried getting a mod to remedy that but it still seems to happen with some targets.

Overall, the experience I'm having is unique and fun. I can tell the devs put a lot of hard work into this.. the map reworks are nothing short of gorgeous and I absolutely love the night time vibe this game brings... I just wish this came together with a more lively zone.. and we'd have something 10/10 instead of about an 8.5/10.As I'm still early in the game - I can say that so far the story and quests are 10/10 and very well done though.. the story isn't the problem in this mod at all.

Pretty sweet.. All I did was mess with the lumscale(amb/hemi)/tonemap/bloom/adaptation commands a little bit to get a pretty similar look. The default bloom is pretty wild lol

Oh I wasn't asking you to recreate all the spawns lol. I just meant the part from the pack you already did, wondering if there could be a separate download for that. I want to keep the HUD stuff intact. Strange design choice by them... hopefully future patches expand on the spawns..because this game feels dead AF at times lol

Really loving the mod so far (up to chapter 2 in the garbage somewhere) The one thing that has irked me is the battery life for the headlamp is just trash.. it lasts like 5 minutes? Is there anywhere I can modify the battery life to be at least 20 min or so?

Hey, not sure if it's something I did wrong (can't really see how) but when I load up the game after selecting doom2 PSX, and I choose my difficulty and all that it starts me on the Wolfenstein map, but the map says entryway. Try warping to map01, it actually puts me on entryway, but it's listed as hangar on the map lol.. any ideas?

Edit - Like an idiot, I dragged the doom2 wad on top of GZdoom, then also chose the psx version in the list.. I think that somehow duped the maps lol.. all set now.

There have been at least a few people that have reported it. I don't have any form of radiation overhaul in my mod list. This only started to occur upon the installation of this mod. The fields seem to be in different places for different people.. but with no warning sometimes at all.. it's weird. Perhaps since you've only tested them on EFP and GAMMA, maybe there is somehow a mod in the packs that mitigate this issue so users of those packs naturally wouldn't have something to report.

All I did was install it with mo2 and there were zero incompatibilities... so I dunno. You mean all your spas icons work?? I did install the BaS Sights addon with it.. maybe that parts bugged.

Certainly seeing some FPS improvements compared to before. Personally I think some of the anomalies audio are set just WAAAY too loud. (Comparing it to the anomaly sounds from soundscape) I was in cordon by the campfire and could still clearly hear a gravi from like 80 yards away quite audibly lol. I haven't tried with headphones yet and kind of scared to. That being said... this mod changes the game entirely in a good way.
