I know I'm late to the party, just bought the game a few weeks ago, but anyone else having problems with the weapons?
For some reason the pulse rifle often is useless and barely hits anything even on close range. Doesn't matter if I use the standard pulse rifle, upgraded pulse rifle or Hudson's pulse rifle. Because of that the SMG feels more powerful and I think that shouldn't be the case.

I used BD64 monsters only, mainly because they have a more realistic look compared to the more cartoony vanilla Doom monsters. I think more realistic looking monsters are better fitting with the also realistic looking Q4 weapons.
Unfortunately there's no quake monster replacer or at least I haven't found one.

There's still a little bug in there. Shooting at enemies always gives:

p_startscript: unknown script "hitsound"

And I would suggest to add quad damage to replace berserk. Beyond that, as always great work.

EDIT:
Ok, the "unknown script" message only pops up if your mod is used with an enemy replacer.

Very good so far, I like it. I would suggest to make the muzzleflash smaller for some weapons because you can barely see where you're shooting sometimes.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with Zio McCall's Brutal Wolfenstein. It can be loaded together with BW but even if it's loaded after BW the mod still uses BW blood effects and decals. Changing the blood amount doesn't do anything either.

Because that's what you uploaded. Did you upload the wrong file by accident? That wad is just a short, stupid joke wad with just one map with some saiyan jesus and a kid crapping all over the world at the end. The file size comes from a few files inside the wad called bootyass or something like that with 22,7MB each.

May I suggest a fix or tweak?
I don't remember if it was like this in the original Blood, but the green cultist are way too trigger happy with their dynamite. Also, Caleb gets pushed back when directly hit by thrown dynamite, not the explosion. Same goes for the butchers cleaver. When hit Caleb gets pushed back through almost through the whole room.

Edit:
Tried with my 3 favorite map packs and either started in a small and totally black room or when actually on the first map of the pack most walls were black. Maybe a problem with the load order?

My load order is:
map pack xy
zbloody_hell.wad
ZBloody_Hell_v181.pk3
ZBloody_Hell_v181_Caleb.pk3
ZBloody_Hell_v18x_Patch.pk3
ZBloody_Hell_BalancePatch.pk3

Excluding the Caleb file, like you said in the comments on the mod main page, didn't change anything.

Great work so far, except for the big resolution differences for some monsters. Hell Knight and Mancubus need a higher resolution while Imps, Pinky and Baron of Hell look awesome.
Can't wait for the final version, even if it's several hundred megs big.

Could you please remove the debug features too? Since I played and finished the game at least twenty times by now I started playing it with a trainer for extra fun, but the trainer features are on the keys for F1 to F6.
I also remapped most of the keys for my playstyle and switching between walking and running kills every enemy nearby.

The Bio Rifle is just like the Razor Jack or the 8Ball a random replacer for the rocket launcher. I used the Flak Cannon as replacer for the super shotgun.
You could use the "give all" cheat to test all weapons.

The weapons from the original Unreal are complete, only the 3 extra weapons from the extension are missing but those are just weaker versions of already existing weapons. Yes, I removed the altfire of the Automag since it was pretty much useless in Doom and the primary fire is now as fast as the altfire normally is. Primary and altfire of the Stinger were exchanged to make it a good shotgun replacement. And the altfire of the Razor Jack was removed since it wasn't useful for Doom in my opinion.

Unfortunately I can't do it on my own since all the coding and scripting is for me like reading a mix of japanese, chinese and korean. But I found some very good looking sprites for the UT99 weapons. If I can find someone who is willing to do the scripting and coding there might be a UT99 version in the future.

Unfortunately no. As you can read in the credits I just tweaked the weapons to be more fitting for the fast paced Doom gameplay. I'm very unexperienced and can't really do much. I wouldn't even call myself a modder.

Ok, I thought the drops were random and not enemy specific. I don't play any megawads because I didn't find one that I really liked. Only the "Hell on Earth" starterpack that comes with brutal doom but even there I only like the first 10 maps.

Is it just me or are the upgrade drops unbalanced. I played level after level after level and the only upgrade I ever got was the pistol charge upgrade, but that one about 3 times per level.
