Hey I am running into the following bugs in the latest Perisno (0.81):

1. When I click F4 or F5 to open formations and the likes in battle the menu disappears quickly, I can still click the buttons to change the weapon and formation orders but I cannot see what I am picking

2. If I start the beginning Adventurers quest I cannot turn it in after killing the 10 peasants

Any ideas?

try deleting the mod and reinstalling it, if that doesn't work:
go to steam, right click warband, click verify integrity of game cache if nothing is wrong then:
delete the mod and download it to warband instead of mods (be sure to open the actual folder and overwrite everything) WARNING: this will overwrite your base WB, undoing this requires you to manually delete all warband items from your PC then verify game cache through Steam. If that still does not work:
Wait for someone with actual knowledge (like the dev) to answer

If I may make a few suggestions (these are mostly personal suggestions, and should be viewed in no way as if I don't get them I won't play type of requests. I have enjoyed this mod for 200+ hours and what you did with it is amazing, thank you for the time and love you spent on this mod.):

1. Formations:
1a. Square: can this be turned into a "shield square"? Like the units stand in the middle if they don't have shields and the outermost layer(s) have shields and defend from all sides to create a real square formation? Would be kinda cool especially for outnumbered armies (perhaps multiple armies could come in at multiple points if your outnumbered enough to simulate the surrounded feel?) if not perhaps just a shield square added formation? Idk
1b. Testudo: would be nice to have this formation (please use the ACTUAL formation if you are going to instead of CAs) would be fun for roman feel (fav nation of all time)
1c. Wedge: I have never used this formation, but would it be possible (if it isn't already) for the shield bearers to go in front of the other soldiers? Would make a nice spartan wedge
1d. Ranks: Would be nice to have a formation then a number of ranks for each formation (so you could have a shield wall with 2 or 5 ranks instead).
1e. Ripple Fire: How about ripple fire for the muskets? Would be a cool touch to see them shoot off like that (also I had my last game corrupt before I could see the muskets, any chance the guns take forever to load?)

2. Troop Trees:
2a. The only real suggestion I have here is that troop trees be more fleshed out, look at a mod called A New dawn.... I literally have such a hard pick between A New Dawn and this mod, and the main reason I sometimes pick AND over NA is the troop tree.... I hope that you can flesh them out a lot more and create nice branching paths for the future, would be kinda cool to see more then what? 10-15 troops per nation.... (apologizes if this seems kinda harsh, remember I love this mod ALOT and will always sing it's praises)

That is all the suggestions I have right now, I hope these get added and if not well see ya in 200 more >.< thanks again for the mod.

Well the Asurans tech is lesser then ancients, they use outdated ships (I assume that was so the ancients could kill them in case the Asurans overwrite their base code, sort of a fail safe to the faill safe?) I really hope you reconsider >.< the ancients are my personal favorite race in the universe (tau'ri are a close second)

Indeed, I just love it when someone makes a good mod and actually follows the lore behind the show they are basing it off of (there was a space empires V mod of SGA that followed it almost to a T, it was so fun having this huge 4x war between the wraith and ancients) then there are mods like warlords (who thought making a CIS Battlecruiser as strong as a Venator was lore accurate?) I just hope it's in term of strength (from weakest to strongest): wraith, Goa'uld, tau'ri/Asgard (the tau'ri get their tech and stuff along with a few ancient tech as well so they should be very strong) and then of course the ancients (who should be able to cause fear to anyone playing against them) a good way to balance that would be speed and cost of ships from slowest and most expensive to cheapest and fastest: tau'ri (they don't have worlds of shipyards and only a few nations give the resources and manpower to build and man these things, they should be a hard faction to fight as), ancients (they have the ability to build ships on multiple worlds, this should be shown off), Asgard (same as ancients), Goa'uld/wraith (not much is known about the construct of either empires fleets but, it's safe to safe both have many shipyards and are able to regenerate their fleet quickly and effectively if need be (maybe the wraith a bit better at it then the Goa'uld))

I just hope a Asgard beam will actually cut through a wraith or Goa'uld ship like a hot knife through butter and a ancient ship should spell DOOM for a whole fleet of wraith ships (after all it took a whole armada of wraith to kill a few of the ancients BS class ships, these things were monsters)

A few things:
(Q is a question, S is a suggestion)

Q: when is the full version expected?
S: have 2 sliders on new game where you can give all players percent bonuses to armor and shields or weapons, that way if someone wants quick battles they can, or if people want a long *** war (like me) they can have it
S: in season 2 of Atlantis the Deadalus was able to take fire from 7 hive ships for a few minutes and still survive, I hope that the strength of shields will be better shown (especially ancient shields as Atlantis is capable of taking fire for a long *** time and so is a BC of the ancients) shields in the original were very meh

I just hope the combat will actually be close to the show rather then absurd need to balance everyone to a T

Sorry to jump in and continue to spam comments lol but:

I was wondering if it were possible to have an option either in beta or later to increase/decrease all ships armor and hull?

I always enjoyed downloading the hull and shield extension mod for X3 which made cap ships 10x more HP and other ships more HP as well, this made battles long and gruwsome affairs that were glorious to behold, any ideas on such an option? Would enjoy watching 2 Battleships sling volleys at eachother for a good 5-10 minutes >.<

well havent played Wraith so that would be why I do not know that I suppose :P I do like how the Tauri dont seem to get a lot of ships on that link, since Earth only has what 1-2 shipyards at even the end of SGU? Looks great, thanks for all the responses and putting up with a complete nerdy guy asking alot of things of you guys :D cant wait to play the game on the 28th (may or may not have taken off for work that day and the next for a "family matter" lol" will it be on steam workshop or will we have to DL it from here? Apologies if this info is somewhere and idk where it is.

Thanks for the replies >.< and for the link looks nice. Just even if the ancients are a Meir 10% stronger would be nice, just always wondered what's the point of downloading a SG/SW/LOTR mod if all the units are the same as eachother and base game? Just kinda takes away from the experience in my opinion lol. Glad to see the Asgard as a faction, my buddy is a huge fan of the Asgard so I imagine a Asgard and Ancient vs wraith war to ensue lol. One idea I came up with also is how about giving wraith ships no shields but a great regen rate? Would be nice to see that type of canon and even if you could hurt the wraith when they use hyperdrives over long distances >.< just little things that make the game that much more enjoyable for someone who's seen all 3 series 20+ times lol.

Just fyi:
so build speed should be:
Wraith fastest
Goa'uld second fastest
Humans second slowest
Ancients slowest

Then the same order is terms of strength (but reversed):

Ancients are strongest
Humans second strongest
Goa'uld third
and Wraith 4th

So this way ingame a wraith fleet will be huge and numerous at the beginnings while a Ancient fleet will consist of 1-2 ships and a few strikecraft. I think this would greatly help the game show off just how the SG series were.

If you dont mind one more suggestion:

So why not have the Tau'ri get:
Asgard ships
The Orion (Ancient ship without shields)
Rebel Goa'uld ships
etc.

The humans could be a very versatile group, they could be your able to adapt faction? Just some more food for thought.

So in the Star Wars mod for HW2 a Venator and a Seppy BC are of the same strength, this annoys me greatly and it got me wondering... Is this how you plan to do the ancients? I think you should give the ancients the power they deserve (as well as the X-304 series and BC series of human ships) these ships are superior in role and should show it in game I think) how to balance this? Simple make Goa'uld and (to a greater extent) Wraith ships build way faster, in the SG lore the Ancients only lost due to numbers, a aurora was able to take on 2+ hives no sweat. Now I think not only making them cost more but also making them take longer to build would balance this (especially the aurora, that thing should be the center of your fleet and everyone should fear it) it's just flavor for the mod I think itll greatly benefit from, wraith should be a rush faction while the ancients a defensive behemoth that once built, is almost unkillable >.< just some food for thought (just FYI the Deadelus (X-304) was able to take on michaels cruiser 1v1 with almost no damage (only reason it got hurt was because of the need to drop shields) I think that should show) anyways thanks for the mod and I hope this is my go to forever.

I am having trouble good grief lol

so here is what I do I download the server files from taleworlds

I put the FI2 mod inside its dedicated server module folder

I change the code in battles to the code for the top

I change the battle start test to the code given

start

and crash so what is up???

Isn't warband a 32 bit program or is that mount and blade? In any case reflective water, grass, and shadows are huge performance takers and don't add alot

Btw to anyone wondering if you beat native a few times and are looking for something less repetitive and more challenging this is your mod, 10/10 the best I've seen, even with 1k hours of SP experience it still surprises me at being hard which is awesome

I see the custom troops thing, is this like where you hire generic recruits and pick their equipment? I believe that was in floris. If so can you make it where they pop up more because I never seemed to find any in floris or on this mod (it's a grandmaster guy in a tavern right?)
