Not sure what happened. Years ago this mod worked fine. Now, on any campaign, it crashes after turn 5-10 unexpectedly, even with the 4gb patch on the medieval.exe file. I also tried it on the launcher. The mod is broken.

I absolutely love this mod. I never played an ETW mod as continuesly as this one. I've always had a soft spot for vanilla because I like playing the game as the developers intended. I just like more nation-specific units and variety, and always wanted more regions and larger regions broken up. This mod delivers everything that it could in that regard. I'm playing the vanilla game, but it's updated. Better general cards, more detailed units, better graphics, more historical accuracy, more units, more start dates (1745 Jacobites was a fun challenge), etc. etc. None of this changed the entire game or mechanics or screwing up the stability. One of the litmus tests I use for mod quality (it can have a lot of features but quantity doesn't equal quality) is how many times I've come across something that I couldn't tell was a bug or a hidden intended/unintended feature. I have not run into any of that in this mod aside the Garde Suisse from France firing all ranks at once which is the only line unit I found that can do so. That's just one, out of say, dozens that I find in mods like Darthmod. It feels like a truly finished product and what the CA developers intended for the 2009 release. Bravo! 9.5/10

This isn't what people wore at the time period. Try doing some research before making your little commune mod.
Historically accurate? Sure. Would very much appreciate it.
What do you mean?
Can you remove Fire by rank or at least make it optional? People seem to have a hard time grasping how horridly inaccurate that feature is. It's fun in all but for a big history enthusiast like me it's extremely bothersome.
Thank you!
P.S. If you want to go above in beyond, then make it where the first two or three ranks can fire all at once, the same as light infantry. This was historically what was correct at the time, except you may need to make further tweaks such as (more) ammunition and (less) accuracy in the land table to make it balanced for that style.
Great mod but let me add the 1848 Colt was manually loaded with powder, lead balls, and percussion caps.
I agree with firefly.
Excellent, thank you.
Thank you. Have you heard of ACW: Blue and Grey? They are in really bad need of a script and start pos editor. The mod is great, with hundreds of units and a complete overhaul. However, it has horrible stability issues because the startpos is like 4 years behind since it was first developed. Here is a link to the forum: Twcenter.net
I would say the other way around, the English had much better trained troops. The Scots had a lot more morale than the English though. This Northman>south is so stupid and immature.
1. Learn grammar
2. You are the idiot

4. You clearly know nothing of the subject
Fire by rank. In the 18th century, it was standardized for the infantry to form into lines as the Napoleonic Wars, except the first rank would then kneel, then the second rank, etc. Well it was very difficult to carry out and it was slow. So instead, a lot quicker and simple method came about, known as fire at will. The first two ranks would just fire at will, the second rank looking over the first ranks shoulders. This is actually why the British were so deadly and defeated the french at Waterloo, their lines were 2 ranks to where everyone could fire. The French were in column were very few men could fire. Anyways it was a vast improvement. However this author completely disregards this, and titles his mod "realism." It's not the feature itself that bothers me, but it's the title. People who play this will get the idea that FBR was existent. (Those who don't do their research of course). Hope that explains it.
Nope, there was fire at will, first rank kneel, and volley fire.
Calm down, it's a mod that deceives the truth, which is that it shouldn't be name a "realism" mod.
It ****** me off when people call this real without doing their research. FBR was non-existent in the Napoleonic Wars.
There is a regiment I would like you to add to your list. This one is quite eccentric. I think it would be awesome if added in "John Crockett's Overmountain Men" (father of Davey Crockett). Here is a link of some info: En.wikipedia.org(frontiersman)
Amazing mod dude! I would love to see a coverage in all 4 episodes in ETW campaign, that would be amazing. Because of this mod, I'm going back to ETW.
This mod is dead, might as well stop working on it.
Some people aren't spoiled by parents who spend 2500 dollars for a gaming PC. Some people make investments in real life things instead invest in having a gaming computer to sit your *** on all the time....
Will this be biased since you're British and the British will have every advantage over every faction
I feel like I'm the only one here who knows that this mod is going to be very demanding on your system and everybody else who even has a medium end PC will be ****** off that they get 10 fps on battles with 5000+ people on the battlefield. That's why I don't get why the common public always beg for the best graphics when they forget about how ****** their system would run it. Let's hope it doesn't happen to this mod.
Looks awesome but the flags could use more work..... :b
I really want this mod but that FBR really destroys the immersion for me. Totally historically inaccurate.
