you need two factors to make this mod work a capable renderer aka opengl or d3d9 or d3d10 renderer and you need to add or switch S3TC=True otherwise the textures wont show up

it creates the ini file wrong for the DeusExGreasy.exe on my side the fix is to open up the DeusexGreasy.ini afther it makes it then change :

Render=RenderExt.RenderExt
to
Render=Render.Render

then save and you can play

if you still need a fix for that its called lensdirt its in the gemfx.cfg #define fLensdirtIntensity 1.5 lower that to like 1.0 or lower

the game works fine for me there are 2 factors that might cause it not to work for you

1.installation of the unofficial patch was not done correctly
2 your pc is not able to handle reshade been there its crappy

to properly install unofficial patch follow these steps

Step 1 : install vampire the masquarade bloodlines
step 2 : download and install vampire the masquarade official patch v1.2 link = Moddb.com
Step 3 : download and install the latest vampire the masquarade unofficial patch

optional steps for this addon

step 4 : download and install this Moddb.com
put it in the folder were the vampire.exe is
step 5 : download the reshade hd preset and place the content inside into the reshade folder in your game folder

some of the mods might have been for a gametype of some shorts likely ghost in shell is just a rebalance

you can fiddle a bit around with the enbseries.ini but in general this addon doesnt weight much regarding to performance i posted another version thats heavier then this one

the only reason sweetfx and enb are paired is to correct the coloring so you wont get the pool of blood mentioned above miscolored

you should check your fps without the addon then check agian with it my fps makes my videocard vibrate so i rather keep it locked to prevent damage to it so its a bit hard to check on the actual impact of fps lost using this addon

also if you have a chipset yeah your a bit out of luck there my experience with chipsets and enbseries were always bad regardless if nearly everything of enbseries was turned off

there is a readme included and its in the description

its because it uses modified deus ex files because if you put the deusex files of your system folder into the UED2.1Sys folder unrealed wont show the classes anymore

for now use a workaround right click any item you placed with the pawn icon then click defaultproperties then go to display and change drawtype to dt_mesh (press shift+a to select all actors to do the same to every actor)

*note doing this also selects the actors that should remain sprite*

they forgot to add DrawType=DT_Mesh in the defaultproperties of the meshimport files so when they compiled the files it went back to the default DT_Sprite

if its to much hassle just use unrealed 2.0 instead

bjorn did say on the original forum the file came from that it shouldnt be used for mapping due to the port not being perfect yet i reuploaded it here because the original unrealed 1.0 and 2.0 Deusexnetwork.com doesnt support .dds file support for textures which this one does

if you run into isues when mapping download unrealed 2.0 and just use 2.1 for better rebuilding of maps its a hassle but thats the bigest improvement in 2.1 over 2.0

you are playing in 32 bit and not 16 bit right?

does it crash all together or does kentie launcher open and when you press play it crashes if so check the settings of kentie launcher if it totaly refuses wel first off you need kentie launcher in your deusex system folder and second check if the file engine.u even exists

you need to make your weaponpistol binstanthit=true/false or ingame for example (admin set weaponpistol binstanthit 1/0)
then you can change the shottime

shottime = (value)
admin set weaponpistol shottime (value)

this wont mean it wil continue shooting bullets per second for that you need to add bautomatic=true/false

Step 2 Put these contents inside into your masquerade folder were the vampire.exe is located

Step 3 Download reshade hd preset

Step 4 Drag These contents inside the reshade folder you got afther step 2 it wil pop up a window saying files with the same name is already in the folder you just press replace

done just start the game and enjoy

have you tried reinstalling the game im runing it on windows 10 64 bit with no isue

if you did reinstall try agian but this time do this
1.uninstall vampire the masquerade
2.remove the folder it was in if it still kept the folder on your pc
3.turn off protection of your virusscaner or just shut it down
4.install vampire the masquerade
5.install official patch v1.2
6.install unofficial patch
7.dont start the game open your virusscanner and add the folder of vampire the masquerade to exclusions so it wont be scanned then just turn protection on agian(if turned off)
8.start the game

this is the isue with newer os(windows vista and up) even if they are run in administrator the system wil not give access unofficial patch should fix it

did you change any of the settings? mods might also effect it i had the unofficial patch installed+ the ones in the description you might also try and experiment with brightness or look in the sweetfx.cfg for gamma gain settings and experiment with it a little(as this is a gamma problem)

i personaly havent changed any brightness settings ingame neither did i switch the gamma around

if your pc has no isues with it i also made a bit heavier version Moddb.com it has more atmosphere to it and actual shadows

go to your steam folder assuming its on your main drive
"C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common"
vampire the masquerade should be there including the vampire.exe just unpack it into the reshade map and run the game through steam afther you installed the Reshade - A Vampire Bloodlines Preset in addon section

the instalation is in the description you first need Reshade - A Vampire Bloodlines Preset from the addon section you put those files into the main folder of the game were the vampire.exe is then you download this one and put the files inside the archive into the reshade folder you got from the Reshade - A Vampire Bloodlines Preset addon

wel sure if it was enbseries but reshade isn't as heavy as that its just a overlay on top of the game

you can turn off ambient occlusion that creates the shadows in the game its in mcfx.cfg just open it with a program like notepad and change USE_AMBIENTOCCLUSION 1 to 0 other then that there doesnt seem to be any real intense feature but then agian i couldnt get off the 30 fps cap so i couldnt do fps checks on the settings that i applied

did mention the credits to the custom effects and because people need to first download yours puting you in the credits is something that just seems right ill change the credits a bit to include the reshade creators

did that dident help ow wel maybe i find out while changing the settings what causes it

nvm found it grain was on in customfx.cfg while i do like grain if it makes textures like windows of buildings shake a little bit it kills the immersion might gonna play around with all the settings and just upload the config files so yours need to be download first

still havent got the fps isue of 60 dropping to 30 fps fixed though turning off mat_forcehardwaresync and forcing the vsync off in catalyst dident help for me

i tryt your solution and it was still capped to 30 were as turning it off would return to 60 fps

by the way i changed the settings of the sweetfx.cfg to my sweetfx preset and it looks even better combined with your effects i tryt to make it work with enbseries for color correction but that was a no go it doesnt want to run through enb i wont upload the sweetfx.cfg unless you give the thumbs up to it though

the only thing that i dont like about this preset is the pixel shake

i tryt it and i do like the effect however my fps is capped to 30 if i turn it on and its not a mather of how good my pc is its litteraly just caped like vsynced

anybody know how to remove that cap?

meh gues i went to fast with it i ran the setup it instals more then you can see when you open it as a archive in winrar

so gues the instal is just changing both the installers to the destination of your deusex folders and let them do there job then throw arti9m crack over it check page 1

guys check either the patch comments or the main file comments i posted the fix for this because the exe content can be opened with winrar or winzip or whatever program suits your needs to open a archive its on page 2 the big file has only the textures the patch give the other files so check that out doesnt mather what version of the game you have if these lose files exist it takes only a minute to manuely instal it

one thing i forgot to say if you dont have new vision or hdtp installed remove those paths
