Cool visuals, delicious atmosphere but very poor performance impact even on my 1070 mini ITX , interesting addons, many bugs that kills your save where you scrapped by, abusing save and load system. and yes... horrible, HORRIBLE gameplay balance... that's the killer. ffs what were you thinking? nonsensically unplayable adds a thrill, yes, but not in a good way. can't say this makes me yearn for my next adventure in the zone. not like I don't appreciate a challange but this is far from it. this is beyond reason and full of GB bugs. Although I appreciate the work you put into this, exchanging 999999999999999 on every difficulty value doesn't make a great mod. heres for hoping you'll do a better job next time.
I can't believe I didn't play this mod before. I stumbled upon the name of it while browsing random sites. This is so great. incredible. What I would expect from a great half life mod. it has new and great ideas, awesome plot cross segments with original game, unique map designs that doesn't wander off of vanilla ones. smart puzzles. some new weapons. a new alien race. useful npcs, love, drama, comedy, sci fi! :) don't miss this one. this mod satisfied all of my expectations and then some.
Finally found my way of saving time and having fun with the d2 lod ast.
this is not a review. this is just my feelings towards my all time favorite game. HλLF - LIFE... My alpha and omega. This game resonates with me. it never gets old. I'm 25, got it while I was like 8, (I mostly watched my older brother playing it at that time) never had the absence of it since. every new pc I owned, every operating system I installed, had to have half life ready for play. I still have the same goosebumps when ever I hear that lambda alarm sound during install that checks your sound driver. :) there is nostalgia factor plus its awesomeness creates a kind of joy that impossible for me to put in simple words. Like love.
This is a revolution. I always wanted a half-life with better gore effects and this gives me everything I wanted and even more. Imagine if the original half life were like this when it came out? This mod is simply amazing.
One of the best... Belive me I wasn't hoping that would be "that" great. bfme 2 needs more mods like this. Hope you guys keep that coming:)
