You did a really solid work out there. Finally weapons have more power than pellet gun, mercs have various equip, few annoying outposts less... Damn, I didnt even know that women chararacters are also playable.

Only thing I dont like much are those new map markers - as I support idea that our barely literate protagonist would draw something on map, I would rather remake original markers as hand drawn.

Anyway, I wish you good luck with preventing militia to non-stop spawn on outpost, thats probably the only major issue that mortal modder could fix here.

There are 3 ways to solve that. If you aren't interest to be enemy of Monolith from beginning or you don't want to clear whole way to Nomads hideout, theres a shortcut: run along barbed wire fence until the it goes up with slope. Then, using difference of heights you may jump over fence and save some time and ammo. Just remember to take items that give significant psi protection, you'll need them later.

Yes, theres an issue with x-16 and switches.

I managed to turn off psi emitter and progress a bit with story, but shortly after I notice I still have active task to disable x-16 device. It come out I left one switch unflipped.

The biggest problem that folks had, apart from very crashy early versions, was decision to drop idea of making "SoC 2.0" in favor of presenting their own vision of Streloks story, which was treated as treason by some people.

About crashes: 1.4007 is (arguably) more stable than Anomaly right now. Dezos made a good work during the years.

Expedition isn't broken, but require some patience. When you visit abandon base-ish place, you have to find all sub-quest items (4 or 5) and check whole place. What does it mean - you basicly need to enter every room in main building and check body in depot to complete scripts checklist.

I notice bunch of random messages, where some characters are asking/speaking about something, despite fact they are dead for a longer while.

That "ghost" bounties are interesting, since you get no prompt or anything else for wasting the guy and Sids bounties you can get are mostly in Cordon or in its proximity, but no in e.g. Zaton, as network message indicate.
Feature like "wanted list" which base of newsfeed could be interesting tho.

A funny thing I notice: when relations between my faction and the other one became really low (that was their fault, they always shot first), I receive global feedback, that theres a bounty for my head. I thought since that moment the hit squads and random greedy stalkers will hunt for me tirelessly until death, mine or their. But no, nothing really changed and no one tried to get me, except members of standard hostile factions, who just occasionally crossed my path. Even Sidor, who put it had nothing to tell me on topic.

Is that feature that didn't work or just a random network message? (some of them are completly random).

When you finish Mortal Sin line by speaking with faction leader, after short time he will give quest, which starts Operation Afterglow.

As Ringelfinch said, the bloodsucker locked in Rostok's undergrounds was described as "king of bloodsuckers", therefore that joke somehow makes sense.

He talk about >old< entrance to x18, which is located east from bandit base, not x18 as such. Those docs are quite tricky to get, so prepere for low crouching.

It seems that artifacts have own rate of spawning. I often searched for them in anomalies clucter near army warehouse and got 6 or more gravis before I found bubble.

I didn't look for that one, but you can get it as random artifact reward from Strelok for doing LL storyline, which he hand out twice IIRC.

I managed to pass that issue somehow. I'm not sure if script just worked this time or because I tried some trick. Anyway, Mysteries of the Zone line will be removed from future versions.

One notice to ver 1.5: story quest for x8 documents may cause problems with finishing (I've got confirmation from support about this, its caused by old "mysteries of zone" line), as neither collecting all documents will actualize/finish quest nor all docs will spawn. I tried to reload few times before starting that task but with no success, I wonder if anyone else had more luck.

IMO Blowout excuse exist to keep some locations "locked" before reaching certain point of story.

You have to reach given location, set correct frequency (you may check it on quests list) and walk around. At some moment you'll hear a beeping through static noise: the louder it is, the closer you are to target, which are a pile of bodies and PDA (called "broken pda" IIRC). You'll give it to task giver. Its best to do it in Meadow, as its the smallest location.

Yes, you lose goodwill. For quest with "apparent" target you may ask again for task to "reroll" that guy to another (up to 3 different staklers can show up), with "classified" you can only use f5-f9.

Other downside with quests is they reward you with the same number of goodwill, no matter if it was gathering vodka or intercepting undercover agent, but for guide tasks you won't receive any goodwill. Hopefully, they'll fix it in the nearest future.

About vice: you may also cheaply fix your weapon by using various repair items, combined with supportive materials (up to +10% for stell wool, that you may get from recycling suits). Vice it profitable for use only if you have ruined expensive weapon, as it require to gather proper parts and buy neccesary kits. Also, its overcomplicated and upcoming update will change whole vice repairs system.

I always respect fine work and what I just read on their page, they made a lot of it. Maybe I'll try that mod some day, even if 700 pieces of firearms sounds for me like stuff from kinda other genre.

If I recall correctly, default difficulty in LA is comparable with Master level from vanilla Stalker games and changing it in-game won't do anything noticable.

In addition to equipable psi protection you can also "power-up" yourself with psi-blocker, what should buy you enough time to take controller down. Auto shotgun and some alcohol are recommended.

Thats still tricky tho, because you're already within contoller's aura in moment between when you wake up after blowout and when you actually can act.

700 weapons? Sounds like every possible version of AK47/74 is present. Anyway, folks will use only few dozen the most effective pieces.

Pheromones works for a short time, so use it right before entering the nest. If it won't work, then some bug must occur.

Alternatively, you may throw few F1 to room with bloodsuckers and close door. After while open door and clear what remains.

For controller use psi-block or artifacts with such effect, as said,
and avoid staying long in their sight or close to it. Also, take some alcohol with you to "replenish" mental health.

I didn't like over-using brain vats and "knocking off" effect either.

I never had that one in hands, but you can't improve weapon because upgrades are greyed out or theres no upgrades (the same effect when you choose knife)?

Special data allow to make some top-tier upgrades for certain equipment.
