You're the best!
I recommend pairing this with corruption cards for a truly wild experience! So many enemies and so many variations!
So this wont work if you play Quake music off a CD. But it will work for community source ports and the official rerelease.
The music in Quake is copyrighted by NIN. So sometimes it gets flagged by DMCA.
I like that you kept the PC texture quality and the nice additions to the difficulty select hub! These set it apart from the official DLC. It doesn't seem to have the colored lighting iconic of Quake 64 though. I am running it on Quakespasm, so perhaps it didn't load it in properly, or the colored lighting was not done?
Very cool work on the Console DOOM Enhanced! I know some people on the Doom 64 Discord would be happy to see updates on the 64 side of things if you have a discord: Discord.gg
We'd be happy to have you.
Anyway to get this compatible with GZDoom wads in general, not just brutal doom?
I really like your mod, it was what I was searching for to improve my WAD playing experience, as other Doom 64 conversions often had glitches and bugs. It took me a month but I am glad I found it! Is there a doomworld page or discord server where I can follow this or keep track of it?
This is promising! Is there a doomworld post on this? They may be able to help you fix bugs there as well.
I thought I fixed it! I had Eviternity loading before Nightmare Edition (dont know why), but switching it seems to help a lot initially, but the frame rate still ended up dropping. Also the stamina always seems to be empty.
Anyone having issues running it with Eviternity? E1M1 runs fine until halfway through then the frame rate goes below 35. Then on E1M2 the frame rate drops to single digits for me from the beginning. Maybe Eviternity overloads it too much with its massive levels and custom texture set? I have been running it with the latest GZDoom (OpenGL mode, Nvidia graphics card).
I seen that you're looking into making Doom 64 inspired maps. If you're looking for a soundtrack for them, I produce Aubrey Hodge's inspired ambient music, and would gladly lend my tracks:
I know this is old but if you need a soundtrack... I compose dark ambient horror soundscapes inspired by Aubrey Hodge's work on Doom and Quake. I would gladly donate any of my tracks to the developers. Here's a sample of my music: Youtu.be
I notice that there have been additional maps made in the Doom 64 style. I compose dark ambient horror soundscapes inspired by Aubrey Hodge's work on Doom and Quake. I would gladly donate any of my tracks to the developers. Here's a sample of my music: Youtu.be

I wonder if Doom 64 can be slowly re-textured with SVG format? So that texture resolution wont be an issue in the future.
Definitely needed this!
Looking for more levels to go through! :)
