I might actually have to buy it then!

Don't listen to Panzeroo, he's full of junk. All you need to do is use CFF explorer to allow the game to use more RAM. Just look up "Large Address Aware CFF Explorer" on Google.
Alright so here's my guide:
1- Install CFF Explorer
2- Locate the game's .exe (careful, not the launcher but the exe. Check the game process' name in the task manager if you have doubts)
3-Open said exe with CFF explorer
4-Go to 'File Header' on the left
5-on the right next to 'characteristics' press 'Click here'
6-Put a tick next to 'App can handle >2gb address space'
7-Press Ok, save the file and close
There. Have fun.
Production priorities depend on the country as far as I can tell. For example Germany builds tons of infantry and tanks (and a couple battleships) early in the game and only introduces small ships and planes towards the 40s.
I refuse to be held on a leash like a dog by Paradox. If the fix is merely a matter of applying the flag to the exe then I can do it myself and upload a guide for everyone else when I get home.
Need a mirror to the 64bit fix.
I can confirm that on a clean install and with the hotfix this works fine for me. It will eventually crash after a couple hours though.
Oh grape! I'm so stupid! I was trying to install the normal MoW version on AS! How did I miss that?!
What a pain. I'll try installing from the DVD.
ASSAULT SQUAD- Trying to extract the maps I get an error saying settings.xml points to the file resource/game.pak and it does in fact not exist. I already have the hotfix (which doesn't touch the xml file anyways as far as I can tell). The vanilla game functions properly so I have no idea what its problem is. The game version is 2.05.15 by the way.
All hail the best mod for the best RTS! I'm gonna wait for the weekend to play this though, not enough time to savour it this week.
They're already out and it would be trivial for someone "in the know" to update their config files to work on the latest release but apparently none of them can be arsed.
I just don't have time to learn and do it myself, I have about 2 hours of free-time during work days.
For now you could cheat yourself some officers back. Cheating is okay to fix issues.
Author refuses to upload newer versions.

And then there's dickheads like you. After I pay for this ************* game not only does Steam refuse to give me what I ******* paid for, then there's holier than thou DICKHEADS who think Steam is infallible. ****. You.
(buried)
Yeah well downloads for 1.1 do not exist and Steam is a gigantic pile of **** that refuses to work properly so at the end of the day this mod is broken beyond repair.
You could download Crom's mod. It adds most of the cooler end war tank prototypes so you can see how it's done. Sadly Crom is deceased and noone bothered to update the configuration files for the newer DCGs that came out in the meantime.
So... Any highlights of 3.5?
Since it's been confirmed that the Faces/Men of War franchise has been killed off, we can only rely on DCG for new content now.
The "Test" version works fine as far as I can tell. There is one issue. If anyone attacks Xibei San Ma a number of divisions remain stuck in a no infrastructure province until it's conquered. The divisions keep screaming "PROVINCE LOST!" and making the game stutter. You can fix it by switching to Xibei and disbanding those divisions.
TFH actually made the AI a whole lot better for me, so I'll be eagerly waiting for that port. The game had an immense speed boost too, I can actually get to the end of the 40s now before it suddenly becomes unplayably slow.
Yup but it's outdated. Someone who is familiar with MoW modding should look into keeping it updated.
There used to be an amazing mod that added those tanks and more a couple of versions earlier. Sadly the guy who made them must have died or something.
Was my favourite mod too, nothing like driving an E-100.
The original ICE by Didiay used to have its own off site hosting with all versions, however not only that old site seems to not exist anymore, I also can't find a repository for Black ICE versions either.
Yeah it's bollocks how they try to cage modding and treat everyone like criminals. I find Paradox's entitled attitude extremely annoying and I refuse to "beg to be allowed to see their forums". They're lucky they're hidden behind the internet, if they were based where I live I'd give them a piece of my mind.
"We're sorry, but no downloads were found here." I'm assuming it's still pending approval or some such?
There is an issue with the "Fall of France" event. If you conquer France as Germany (and France goes into exile) the game will nag you a dozen or so times at intervals of a few months about creating Vichy France. I'm assuming it should only ask once.
Also a suggestion: I think it would be nice if you added the option to release puppets.
I am sorry but I must rate this a straight 1. Not providing a direct link to the .sdz file is unforgivable, even for a hobby project like this.
And don't give me the "Hurr it makes installation easy" excuse, I have been in the software business for years, I know how a goddamn computer works. I don't want crappy bloatware to copy paste files for me.
