California Megamod

Mod review

This is just collection of mods, not a megamod.
You can only turn on specific mods but you can`t turn them all.
It bearly even works, dosen`t have widescreen support nor mouse fix patch, constantly crashes.
This is just a clusterfook of mods slaped together without any compatibility between them.

GTA Vice City: Ultra Edition

Mod review

Lack of instruction and readme file.

Completly unplayable. Half of the first ten turns ended with crashes. Dungeon idea is completly pointless, rewards from it are mere lowest grade troops and you need to put entire stack of troops to be able to win, the moment oblivion crisis happend the game froze on their turn. Whoever decided it is a good idea to release such a alpha state must have been biggest fan of Cyberjunk when it was released on PS4.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly

Mod review

I was hoping for a refreshing Stalker gameplay but thanks to this mod I will never come back to the old stalkers games. If people call this "top" mod I rather stay away from any other worse than this "mod".
Quest corpses despawning, enemies gets stuck walking against obstacles, never ending agro when boar can follow you to the end of the world(I`m far away from their line of sight), stalkers spamming on PDA(who the fook type on PDA about loosing a teammate when in middle of gunfight?), "random spawn" always spawn in fixed location, the graphic look worse than original game(yes all on max), gameplay settings do NOTHING(for example geiger sound is always on no matter if you want it realistic or not), system commands(like sound up/down) do NOT work in game, no follow up on quest in PDA just the name of a quest and no marker on the map, bulletsponges enemies(I mean the boars must have came stright from dark souls since two mags to the head are barely enough), the hardest difficulty is just a big joke everything one shot you and the only thing player can one shot is human enemies with headshot(without any headgear of course), prices are through the roof(40k for a normal 70% ak rifle - if you aim for the realism where the fook should i keep this money? are there credit cards in Zone???).
I stumbled on all this in 30 MINUTES of gameplay... The biggest mess I ever saw in modding community and this got mod awards? Man modding community went to ****.

Third Age Total War Extended (4.0)

Mod review

I don`t see any changes in this version. Can`t shake the feeling that someone took hard work of original creators of Third Age Total War and added few custom settlements, moved some of them few milimeters in other directions just to get some attention.

Planetwar Total War

Mod review

Through at first mod looks amatourish it is in fact pure Medieval 2 experience on whole new (very big) map. The story behind the world is cool, units looks interesting, and I didn`t had any issues with launching the mod.

Early access mod review

I love when someone is wasting months on making a mod and dosen`t waste one more day to make working exe file or AT LEAST working bat file. I somehow got it to work only to find out that bat file is scaled to ridiciolus resolution. After I finnaly reach main menu I found that most of the special battles are broken and unfinished but most importantly - guess what is happening when you click on start campaning - it takes you back to the main manu as if you clicked on back button. If you made the whole mode like those MOST IMPORTANT things then I don`t even want to image the tsunami of bugs inside campanings...
Ah and I almost forgot - how the duck this "mod" take 20gb of space?
I guess somewhere inside the files is hidden porn stash.

The Elder Scrolls: Total War

I was waiting for 2.0 version and I was never this much dissapointed. Bugs and errors everywhere, music in game is same old ****** The Elder Scrolls soundtrack(with like two songs that are good). Units looks good but what of it if you can`t do single battle with them because game will always throw error massages. Version 1.6 was fine at best. This "new" version are mostly new units, few scripts for new campaning(that is 99% the same as old one). There is no pefect game without bugs but running into gamebreaking bug in first 10 turns is not acceptable. I guess creators didn`t even bother to play what they created, just recolored some units, make some hype and earn some cheap bucks and voilĂ  another sibling for Fallout 76 is born.

Edit : So as far as I got was turn 20, got tired of bugs at this point. Custom settlements are broken and crash game, whole stormclockes are broken, can`t fight them and if battle somehow load it will froze at first seconds they move. Music sometimes bug itself and make terrible sounds. Campaning map is constantly stuttering mainly when I sellect settlement game frezze for few seconds(Yes I got 4gb patch and same happen without it). Some places(like bridge close to Whiterun) crash when battle is initiated on them.
The last thing that dissapoint me the most was showing on trailer that Dragonborn will be lone epic unit and in reality it is just ****** blade member unit. Creators focused so much on lore that they made gameplay bland and boring. When they fix this bugthesda fest i give it another try because I still hope this mod can be at least good as 1.6 version.

Eras Total Conquest

Mod review

Mod is very good but it have bad things too. Map and factions are very nicely done but unit variety is just not enough for this much factions. A lot of units look amazing and knights units are very rare but there are some useless units too or even units that don`t work and can`t even fight. World map is very impressive but saddly there are so much sea trade routs or road caravans that after conquering entire europe(around 60 towns) the game drops down to 5fps because of thousands of moving caravans and ships. Game economy is avarage at best since most of the factions gets 30000+ income from starting towns(some towns can get to 10000+ income on low taxes)so the AI will always have at least few full stack armies. And because of that economy you can litteraly buy every town from AI(entire europe give 200000+ income every turn and it wasn`t fully developed)or force every one to attack other factions or whatever you want them to do - basically legal cheats. Before 80 turn campaning got tedious and boring since it was either buying entire Asia, Africa and America that is no fun or conquering them but that would take around 1000 battles so no. This mod could use a lot of balancing because in this state it is getting very quickly boring.

Gothic TW: Chronicles of Myrtana

Mod review

So I start by saying I`ve played gothic 1 and 2 several times and I loved it every time(3 was average at best). My first impression was 10/10 but after a while it went down really fast. First thing that annoyed me was music - not very fitting total war game and also some peaceful music play while fighting. Campaning is unbalanced - it is too much scripted to be lore correct and still there is a lot incorrect things like Crow being part of Old Camp faction when he was a servant of orc god therefore he should be in orc faction. Some units feel like they was created by some gothic kid like "Myrthana Gangsters" and other are so op they could wipe out entire full stack army - strongest mages are like napalm artillery in Vietnam. The most unbalanced thing are battles - fighting skeletons on map is just stupid because they can wreck strongest units and automatic resolve make it that you will lose less than 10% of soldiers. There are more situations like this with bandits, goblins, and orcs(and their napalm shamans). Some wierd bugs are present also like general locking himself for couple of seconds after finishing order or being unable to change units position before starting battle.
Now the good things.
Models are beautiful and very accurate to games but there are some some badly done too. A lot of unique ideas like adventurers, books with info about regions and giving hints how to lunch a special script or farms that are necessary for towns. Also the big stats difference between weakest and strongest enemies(almost zero stats for weakest and above 15 for strongest) is very fitting to the lore.
I can only hope that devs will rebalance those things and fix bugs i mention because right now it feels like they tried to make RPG mod for Medieval.
