I am a writer and concept artist that is good with fantasy and even better with science fiction. I am trying to assemble a team for a Half Life 2 mod named Dark Skies, that closely follows the ideas and concepts of the Air Exchange storyline.

This thing was terrifying in game, especially because I didn't expect it. I mean, I saw it on the rooftop and figured it was just the alien assassin zombie and would act more like a fast zombie, but then it bursts through a wall and starts soaking up bullets.

Just finished Division 1 & 2 for the first time, and I gotta say, this was quite enjoyable. The atmosphere of the levels and the gameplay was amazing. I really love what you guys have done with Quarry Town. It looks fantastic, and a certain enemy actually managed to make me panic a little, thus making Ravenholm at least a little terrifying again. I look forward to some wasteland levels, and eventually the Air Exchange.

Been loving this mod so far, but I have one suggestion. Have a little more consistancy in the color of the sky, cause it doesn't make sense for it to be green one map, then red the next, followed by blue. I would suggest sticking with similarly colored skyboxes for each in game day with the only big changes in color being for the time of day (for example a red tinge in the morning and evening and just green in the middle of the day).

I have to say this is looking pretty nice. My only problem is the levels are looking both too green and not green enough. What I mean is there seems to be a lot of living plants for the desolate wasteland of the HL2 Beta world and no toxic clouds in the sky. Either way, keep up the good work. I look forward to playing this.

So, I hoped the patches would fix this (they don't), but I can't even start it. It gets to the point where it's loading the main menu and then crashes like a second later. Which is a real bummer cause I've been looking forward to this mod for a couple years now.

Actually the practical way to hold it on patrol would be to hold the handle but keep your finger off the trigger so when you need it all you have to do is move your index finger instead of you're whole hand.

That's exactly what was saying. Though I believe the Combine probably could make them rather quickly but wouldn't until they're confident that the trans-humans could handle the weakened and subjugated humans.

Are those soldiers place holders for some synth enemy or will they be in the final game? Cause as far as I'm aware this takes place around the 7 hour war... meaning there may not be trans-human soldiers yet. Looking good though.

Just curious, are you guys planning on using mostly alien combine enemies or are you keeping the beta Overwatch soldiers? I personally always liked the idea of fighting more alien troops as cool as the trans-human ones are.

Yeah, it's kinda nice to see the wasteland segments. All the other mods really only show the important parts like the AirEx and City 17, the depot, etc. Meanwhile this is something entirely new to look at, as the wasteland maps that exist in the leak, don't really match that of the what is described in raising the bar.

We've also discussed that if we ever come back to this, we may not make it a story mod. Instead it could be something similar to the old Battlefront games. Though this is not official and we likely won't get to it for a while... if at all.

We have had troubles finding people to develop the actual content, and our original plan of attack turned out to be quite inefficient because of it. We have more levels in production, so you guys will see more eventually.

If you're up for it sure. Otherwise I find that some of the coolest mods have terrible grammar on their main page and people still look forward to them. P.S. I'm used to typing with Microsoft Word with spellcheck and everything.
