I would make him more introvertic by look; make the trouser leg lay on the boot, and the shirt "should" cover the belt. Pants could be more loose, baggy. I like the look of the face though, it's not cliché.
If you make him look like someone too much, he might not look like anybody at all.

In fact, the moderately maintained sporting .22lr rifles are in good shape for years. As for the skin; in my opinion metallic parts shouldn't be tampered with, only few minor deficiencies on plastic and rubber.
