The Problem is when the game download is unzipped it created folder Amadeus_v1.2.7
I Just needed to delete the _v1.2.7 so the Folder was named just Amadeus and then the .bat worked fine.

ERROR: Unable to open config file 'Amadeus/config/Amadeus_main_init.cfg'! Invalid filepointer returned!

Steamlibrary/steamapps/Common/Amnesia The Dark Decent

I deleted the mod and ATDD from my computer. re-downloaded both and installed again with the same issue.
downloaded the five_magic Full conversion and that one runs fine.

I'm having the same issue.
Maybe a Steam update has broken this Conversion?
Is the Author still supporting this?
I would really like to play it.

Restart fixed the problem. The Options Menu was impossible for me to use. Keybinding options are in a black box and not visible on screen.

Look for something to read in one of the rooms. It's possible somebody
may have written down the combination.

I play for about 15 min's and experienced a Screen freeze.
HPL log sent.
No saved Game points so I will have to start over.

I played Version 1.01 all the way without any bugs or issues.

I deleted the Mod downloaded from my SOMA mod directory and then used STEAM to subscribe. Everything worked perfect and my saved game was still available.

Version 1.02 plays the opening cut scene and then the file loading Scan icon stays on the screen forever. This happened three different times and the last I let it run for over 20 mins before having to use Task Manager to kill the program.
Download the older Version 1.01 and it is working fine so far.
Steam user using the latest version of Soma.

The first few times I only restarted from the Parking lot Auto save point.
When I restarted a new game then everything worked perfectly.

Outside the library is as far as I get.
The Screwdriver will not come out of the Garbage can. First try the Saw became stuck in the side of the Can and would not move.
Started over and was able to get everything out of the can except the screwdriver. The Hand Icon never shows up on it no matter what position I take.
Started over and now the Hammer is stuck halfway Thru the Can side.
Next restart I was able to get the screwdriver out of the can but it does not work on the trap door hatch in the shed. The screwdriver Icon never starts blinking when I position it on the Hatch handle. When i try to use it I just get the "nothing to use it on" message.
Restarted one last time and the screwdriver worked this time.

It looks like their is still no update for this mod to work with Amnesia 1.3 ?

I already had both keys and was on the second level but could not grab the chain on the wall no matter what i tried.I was on top of the turned over chair but no ladder showed even when jumping up or moving around to find the right position. I gave up and saved and exited.
It shows I'm only 75% done on level 1 and the second key is longer in my inventory as i used it to open the Chemical room and get the pot.
I'm stuck between The door to the second level and the door back to the first level. They are both locked!

I have Steam and the latest version of Amnesia TDD installed.

On the first level, third encounter, After cut scene, monster keeps trying to break into room but never does.

I will be looking forward to checking your new mod out.

The big Production Mods with a large team behind them are really good but I really enjoy the smaller mods like yours just as much.
I purchased Amnesia the dark descent on Steam for a few dollars on sale a couple months ago and have been downloading and playing free mods like crazy.
My graphics Card Radeon HD 6700 series does not meet the Min standards for many newer games I would like to purchase so i'm limited with what I can play.

I completed the Game. didn't find any bugs as you said.
It does end abruptly like other have said.
I still think it's a good short Game Mod and standby my 7.5 Rating.
Penumbra:Necrologue That I'm getting close to the end is a solid 10 rating to me. It's a long and very complicated mod.
Thanks for taking the time to make the Mod so that people like me can play and enjoy them.

I totally agree with giving credit where due if you know who to credit.
The number of mods out there are overwhelming and knowing who did what first seems impossible to track or keep straight.

I find it all very confusing. what is the connection between
(Countercurrent games) and Frictional games Amnesia that Penumbra mods seems to be built on?
Where are the Mod rules posted?
If you Mod their game and and someone Mods yours how does that all work? I pretty much considered Amnesia Mods Public domain.

I paused from playing Penumbra:Necrologue and sure enough found the manhole on the ceiling. You stumped me on that one.
I had moved every dang box looking for one last time time.
I guess I never looked up in that spot and missed it.

In the Bathroom click on the manhole cover.
That gets you into the underground Tunnel and where i'm currently stuck in the Game.

I had issues with missing files with the download.
I then deleted the download and used Steam to download Necrologue for Free and it includes the Twilight mod as well.
those errors went away.
I did however get a error when starting a New game right after the Cut scene played. Amnesia.Exe stopped working.
In the Graphic options Textures needs to be set to high instead of Med or Low.
setting it too high fixed the problem for me.

The Brute Force Method born out of Frustration.
Did you get thru the Next level in the tunnels?
That is where i became Stuck and gave up.
I'm playing Penumbra:Necrologue mod now and it is really good.
It's available here or Free on Steam. Steam also includes Penumbra:Twilight as part of the Download.
I have played several of the regular Amnesia mods but this was the very first mod in the Penumbra series.

I spent about 2-3 Hours playing the Mod so far.
Really fun and challenging mod.
The Maps are a nice change from the standard Amnesia used in most mods.
The Game controls work better for me as well.
I rate it a 7.5

It's been a little glitchy but not bad.
One time I died and was re-spawned and all the doors including locker & electrical panel fronts where missing.
The Fact you can't save your progress as you go means you have to retrace your prior steps a lot.
AS previously mentioned, when killed by the zombie with flashlight your re-spawned behind a locked door and must exit and reload a prior saved game.
The little button or whatever it is that in the padlocked locker was real frustrating. I would try and get away from the zombie with flashlight when holding the button and it would smash into a wall and get lost. Found it one time
stuck inside one of the walls and it would not come out. Exit & reload.
After going down the Drain in the bathroom I became stuck in the passage level.
Tried everything I could think of a couple of times but have found no way out of that level as of Yet.

downloaded the Mod and patch and installed but it does not show up under custom stories when i launch the Amnesia.
Does this require the Machine for Pigs version to run?

I'm having a issue that when I return to the first floor with the safe key the secret passage is closed and the candle lit.
I watched some walk-thru videos and it appears it should be open.
I have opened the safe and have both chemical batteries.
I even loaded a older second floor saved game and played from that point and had the same issue with the secret passage closed.
Has anyone seen this problem or maybe I'm just doing something wrong?
