I worked very hard on this mod, so please take it seriously. I know there aren't many Saw fans out there, but I thought this would make an interesting Amnesia custom story concept. Anyway, for any of you loyal saw fans: I'm proud to say you'll get to meet Billy the puppet in person! I tried my hardest to keep a "Saw" feeling throughout using minimal custom entities, yet trying to keep it from looking too much like Amnesia. You eventually escape, and actually continue the story. This is because Saw movies sometimes don't show exactly what happens after some escape, and I wanted to make that part of the story as well.
Well, cause why not? Makes for an interesting story :)

ATTENTION: STEAM USERS
I made this mod with the GOG version of the game. So, for anyone playing this with the Steam version of the game: you will most likely encounter bugs that only happen on the Steam version of the game. I will be buying the Steam version of the game soon to test out a lot of the bugs some of you have been experiencing, but in the mean time, please SUBSCRIBE to the mod so you can download the most recent versions WITH FIXES as soon as they come out!
If you encounter any bugs, or you cannot progress and the walk-through is not helping, RESTORE YOUR GAME FROM A PREVIOUS SAVE! I put auto-saves everywhere!
This mod features:
- Original puzzles
- Custom/modified entities
- Working light switches and fixtures
- Working TVs, subtitles and cut-scenes
- Close attention to level design
- Hints and tips when needed
- The ability to go back levels
- Modified (harder) monsters
- BATHROOMS!
- Custom effects (including lightning!)
What to expect:
- A good amount of game-play (5-8+ hrs)
- Minimal jump scares
- A lot of sneaking past or running from the monster
- Object searching/collecting
- To actually find a lantern MID GAME
- To die (quite) a few times
- BUGS (if you run across any please let me know!!)

Changes:
- More general map/entity bug fixes
- Level 7 now has ignitable candles on the floating planks and supplies you with tinderboxes and oil to find your way back to the swamp entrance easier, even after dying. This should fix some players' thoughts on it being "impossible".

I am unsure as to where the second saw in level 3 is. Ive looked over what i would think is everywhere but i still havent found it. i have the two shovels and the saw from the tool closet but dont know where the other is. help?
It's in the stairwell attached to the cell room you spawn in. At the bottom of the stairs leaning on the wall. You probably didn't see it due to you running from the monster that spawned at the top of the stairs haha xD Good luck with the rest of the story, and hope you enjoy!
No thats where the shovel was i need the saw. i have both shovels but not both saws i have the one that monster had to get for me but the other one I have no clue.

Thank you so much! Unfortunately this is the last Amnesia custom story ill be making for a couple reasons. One being that Amnesia scripting is extremely buggy and unstable, and Im working on a couple huge projects AND online school.
But I hope this story will continue to satisfy people's "challenge mod" itch all through the future!
Dude it's been the 4th time I tried reinstalling this map and I always get an error right before trying to get to the second level after the intro! You really need to fix this, man.
If you want to play the mod, can you please PM me the error log youre getting? And i need to know your system specs, game version, and game vendor.
i have this problem where in level 2 after i got the acid and poured it on, the second time i try and do it the game says "Cannot use item this way!"
Did you go back and get more acid first?

Hm, I've never heard of this problem. Can you try starting from a previous save from before you gathered the first pot of acid (woah, trippy) and let me know if that did the trick?
