Call me crazy but I don't see how this'd actually help your vision... Dark places are still dark, just dark green o.o?

Map looks really nice but the screenshot needs AA and AF and stuff
Wow, looks superb O:
HL2: DM. Deathmatch set in the Half-Life 2 world.
As in, go around killing people in maps from HL2.
This deathmatch is as involving, if not moreso than UT2k4's, and definentley Quake III's...
If you're getting owned, you're evidentley not good at deathmatch.
Sure, it doesn't have a lot of maps right now, but as far as gameplay goes, what'd you expect?
The chaos is the main allure of deathmatch. Teamplay isn't an illusion, as there's no friendly fire, and you can cooperate with other intelligent people on your team to score more frags.
It's deathmatch. Not Counter-Strike.
Which is a good thing.
I like scary stuff as much as the next person, but that dog with the knife-holding tail looks kinda stupid. Perhaps make a normal tail?
It just doesn't fit in well.
I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions. Really, I simply recognized PCJoe and grOOvy from the ESF team, and remembered the ESF Alpha 2.0 code release, and that's the first thing that popped into my mind. Also, from what I saw, the gameplay mechanics looked similar, so it made sense to me at the time...
But I did look at the developer journals, and it proves me wrong. I'm sorry I accused the team of re-using ESF code.
I hope you guys keep truckin' and continue with the speed and effort you guys are making now. If you do, I'm sure this mod'll succeed and be one of the most quality Half-Life mods yet. It all looks very promising, and I can't wait to play.
I'm in a really good mood today. :)
This looks like the mod to make people go out and buy Unreal Tournament 2004 for.
Hell, it looks a lot better than HL Rally.
While HLRally wasn't that entertaining, they DID have to code in their own physics engine. Seriously, give 'em some slack. They tried.
Play it, man. I just said screenies don't do justice.
But I do read where you're coming from, and it'd be a cool addition :)
AWESOME. Words can't describe it, screenshots won't do it justice. Just play it if you like sound or playing around with game physics.
...now...everything that CAN have ****** UP!..im on it..
That's Murphy's law. But at least you know there are so many people waiting to play this mod.
:)
Melee feels a little weird, but all-in-all it's pretty damned cool.
I like the flamethrower-ey gun.
Woohoo! Now that I've played Action Quake II, Action Half-Life, and The Specialists, let's have a go with Action UT2004!!!
In case that sounded sarcastic, it was 100% scincere. I still play AHL and TS, and was looking forward to a mod like it on UT2004.
Modwatched!
It's nice, but I don't think it really belongs on ModDB. That is, unless you plan on releasing other mutators...
It's not that it's useless or unneeded, it's just that ModDB entries are for more than something like volume control.
Great idea, though, I can't stand that sound.
It will be built using the Source engine.
You accidentley put down UT2k4!
Perhaps he's foreign?
Why does everyone have to point out every single grammatical or spelling related error anyone ever makes?
And the demo maps are pretty damned atmospheric. Even with the knowledge that there were no enimies, I couldn't walk through the whole thing...
but it isnt a original subject ...
there are like 1000 dbz mods .
try to make something like Natural-Section for half-live ( Aliens vs humans )
As long as it's fun...
And I know of any 1 good DBZ mod (ESF). Do you know of any good ones?
Hmm... It says it's a UT2k4, so is it or not?
Stop these ridiculous comparisons, just because the two mods share some dev. team members doesn't mean we share the same source.
Easy mistake.
gr00vy kills PCJoe in one of those screenies.
PCJoe is an ESF coder, gr00vy is also involved with ESF(but I think he just playtests).
Er...
Disregard that bit about the movey crosshair.
Well, it's just that the crosshair seems to have the same movey effect it has in ESF, the scale factors seem to be the same between both games judging by the screenshots, there's a boost mode (turbo mode in ESF), one of the screenshots makes the robot seem like its charging like they do in ESF, the bars are placed in an odd order (which normally wouldn't be a big deal, but Power(more than likely Health) and Energy (ki) are in the same order as ESF. Why would you seperate health and armor?), and the bars appear to be about the same width.
Also, I like the look of that CG shader. How did you get it to work? I tried that tutorial and the .dll wouldn't compile :
And that map you guys posted shots of in the news topic seems top notch. Keep it up!
