Overall, a very well made mod that gives Quake's combat and visuals the much needed spice it needs. Good work! :)
However, I do have two issues. One: The flashlight option doesn't seem to work. Everytime I press a button to turn it on, no light comes on. Did I forget to enable a graphics option for it or something? It's not a huge deal, but it's nice to see into dark corners on maps with it.
Two: How I do get the mod to start with it's appropriate modded maps of the SP episodes? Everytime I start, I have to manually load it up.
Things are shaping up quite nicely for V21. But I will say this. The option to disable/enable reloading needs tinkering very badly.
Is this mod compatible with the expansion pack?
Pretty good mod my friend, can't wait to see more :). It's Polished, simple but keeps things interesting, adds more strategy to the game, has nice touch ups here and there. And the most important thing of all: None of the weapons feel like they overshadow each other or feel too powerful.
I'm also glad you're adding a knife into it as well. I always thought it was a bit strange that DOOMGUY being a soldier, he never had a combat knife on him and just used his fists. Granted in brutal doom he's good at melee, but it's nice to have options.
Do you think in the next update you can fix the v20b problem of plasma rifle shots going through barrels?
Has anybody else been able to fix the SSG issue with reloading a single barrel?
Hello, I'm planning on playing. But I'm curious as to what maps your playing in your screenshots. I'm always on the hunt for some good wads. ;)
Looks pretty good, it seems while there is more abilities and modes. It also puts more emphasis on strategy as opposed to all out guns blazing. (Perhaps a nice balance of both.)
I think the concentration mechanic of aiming is pretty cool. That makes the first shot a bullseye no matter what, right? And if you keep shooting rapidly, you accuracy decreases?

Update: If you replace the candle sprites with the original PB ones. The flicker goes away.
I'm here to report a bug. The candle sprites keep flickering constantly.

A reminder for project brutality users:
Game lagging, but got a beefy rig?
Check the version of the source port you're using. Some versions of GZdoom for instance lag like crazy. While some run the mod smooth as silk.
There's a glitch with the chainsaw. If you kill pinky demons with it, their death animation freezes.
There's a bug with the plasma rifle. Whenever you shoot an explosive barrel at a different height with it. The plasma shots go right through it. But, when at a level height. Works like normal.
Clean, simple, and informative. An excellent HUD.
Don't know if you plan to update this or not. But, it would quite cool to have a smoke effects mutator to remove or lower the smoke effects. That's really what brings my experience to a crawl. Handles everything else. Smoke effects kill it.
Apart from that, glad to see more options for PB!

Pretty good, but the rifle echo cancels out whenever you reload.

Anybody noticed a bug with the plasma rifle in which you can't hit explosive barrels at different heights.
To replicate this: First, find/spawn an explosive barrel and make sure it isn't near a wall avoid it catching splash damage. Then go to a height higher than the barrel. Doesn't have to be much. Aim directly center at the barrel and shoot.
Your plasma ball goes right through it.
But, when you're at same ground level with the barrel. You can hit it perfectly fine.
Hey Pain you should take a look at the first tier of spiderdemon mastermind. It glitches out when it tries to do it's stomp attack.
Pretty good mod overall, but why does the captain of the American forces have a British voice?
Not really sure how you could make Brutal Doom v20b lite. Nothing particularly demanding about it as is.
