I would like to see where this goes, but personally I think you should take off from just making the characters anime style and apply it to the world as well. It would give your game a better identity and make it harder to dismiss as a minecraft clone.
Darkout, for example, is a Terraria clone, but it is amazing looking and owns its artistic style.
If you're genuinely passionate and inspired then you should go for it.

This isn't exactly news or a bad thing. The modding community has been using ripped AAA content for a decade and a half now. Back when I was modding Freelancer you actually had a segment of modders dedicated to finding ways to extract and convert new ship models from the latest games.

You can implement that stargates quite easily with no hindrance to singleplayer. If you can't figure it in the split second I did, well that's your problem.

This is called a request not a mod. Do you know how many requests on the scope you are asking for get completed? 0% So are you sure that you don't want to pull the weight? Cause as a modder I can tell you A; I'm not interested in what you are interested in, B;Any team you(however unlikely) assemble will probably kick you out at the earliest convenience for not doing any work, and C;Modelers don't go out looking for work you have to find one and inspire him to work with you.

Gave it a 2 for the effort put into making the models and a -8 for contributing to the almagamation mods that bring down the game.

You are using standalone improperly. In the modding community it means your mod does not require the original game. I would suggest changing that.

Sorry but that just means you're SOL as they say. Because of Blizzard's poor short sighted decision making. All SC2 copies are region coded and locked to a single regional server. It is currently impossible to switch between them short of buying a new copy of SC2 from said country.
On an additional note if you don't like the thought of this please don't complain here, but help pressure Blizzard into doing something to resolve this abomination of a decision by complaining on the Battle.net forums and bothering their staff.
Because Blizzard said that said old units would be available in the release map editor and campaign...?
